Read a few new messages then went back to inbox to do a reply to one of them.  When I clicked one of the messages, it disappeared from the list and the emails listed below it moved up a line to fill in the gap.  Poof, my message was gone.

It's no longer in the inbox so I checked junk & trashcan folders but not there either.  Then did a search to see if I could find it anywhere, in any folder, no luck.  All I wanted was to re-read the message and make a reply.  But now its gone with no trace.

This happened to me a couple days ago and again today.  Never seen this before these 2 times.  Clicking a message listed in my inbox usually brings up the message for viewing, but these 2 times the messages completely vanished.

Now I'm afraid to click any email messages in my inbox, they might disappear too.

I check mail using the web, first time it happened I was using Chrome (Version 29.0.1547.76), today it happened while using IE (Version: 9.0.8112.16421) .

Is hotmail broken or am I doing something wrong?

I have around 20 domains in a VPS, and on June, I got an spammer attack, which realayed spam during two days from one of my domains. When I saw the amount of email messages, I could stop it from doing so.

Hotmail got me blacklisted for this, and I have filled in the form to get me out of the blacklist, but still after 3 months, I am still blacklisted and cannot send any email to any hotmail or Live email account.

By the way, I make checks of my IPs on all blacklists, and they are OK in all of them.

Is there another way to try to get out of this blacklist?

I have missed some email attachments due to overlooking the addition of the scrollbar in the message. I know that I can also hover over the message icon to get an attachment count, but it isn't habit since I usually don't receive multiple attachments. To prevent this in the future, I've set an alert for all email messages with attachments (overkill!) until I can train myself to look for these hidden (to me) attachments, but I really wish there were an easier way to catch these.

Hi everyone,

Outlook.com looks cool but ironically Mac users that purchased and use Outlook2011 as email client don’t stand a chance to have a decent email service.

Here’s the deal: i do have Outlook.com configured as IMAP in order to keep messages in sync on more devices.

Email messages hit my inbox (using Outlook2011 for Mac) with a few minutes delay; according to an Outlook.com employee this happens because their service does support IMAP but does not support IMAP IDLE extension which allow real time fetching of email messages.

Apparently the guys in Redmond were able to offer real time fetching and/or active sync capabilities to all major email clients available on the market but not to MS Outlook for Mac.

I would kindly like to know if there is any workaround on Outlook2011 for Mac to have Outlook.com as IMAP and real time fetching.

And if there is any plan in sight to update Outlook2011 to provide full EAS capability.

Thanks

I'm using a Samsung S 3 mini. Whenever I send an email, it goes to my outbox. It does not get sent. I also can't receive emails unless I am in my office and using wifi. When on wifi, emails pour in. I need to get this sorted out asap as I am on the road alot. Im using 3 different email addresses on outlook.com and neither of them are working. Please help

In exporting Windows Live 2012 email messages > All Folders to an empty folder on my hard drive, the application keeps garbling the exports.

  • It uses faulty names for folders (for example "Family & Fr fd3" instead of "Family & Friends, "Professional" instead of the newer name "Librarianship").
  • It puts some folders inside of others.

I cannot tell whether it is, in fact, exporting all the messages, because they are so mixed up.

I'm running Windows 7.  I know Microsoft plans to or already has suspended support for Windows Live.

Are there fixes, or is there another email client I could use instead?  I tried switching to Mozilla Thunderbird, but that requires me first to export...which is, of course, my basic problem.

Thanks for your suggestions,

Mike
