How can I get audio and animated notifications when I receive an email using my Hotmail account?

I tried to follow the steps given in the forum i.e. opened 'Windows Live, Alt T, but couldnt find the 'Options', only Internet Options. Please help

My old laptop died. It ran Windows 7. I got a new Dell laptop with Windows 8. Is there any way to get my old emails? I used same Hotmail email address on old machine as I now use on Windows 8.

I had many emails in folders in Windows 7. Now those emails do not exist in Windows 8.

Even though a have a default account set up from which all my outgoing emails should be sent, the emails to are shown to recipients as having come from another old email address. Consequently, when they reply I do not get the email. This is a Windows live account, which I guess is hotmail.

When wanting to access my email by typing my email address, it happened that i wrongly typed my email addresses and want to get rid off as of no use or old addresses ( abunch of them). thanks

why does my inbox only show one week’s worth of email?

It used to show all my past emails, but now only the last week. I didn't make any changes. When I search for certain email in the search box, past emails will come up, but not by simply scrolling through them in the inbox. I also have my email account linked to my iPhone. But again, I've had that for nearly two years, and it was just recently (last few months) that this all happened. Any ideas?
