Outlook 2011 won't reconize the Entourage Inenity
Im trying to export Entourage 2004 data and import it into outlook 2011. It wont acknowledge the entourage Idenity

Original title: Outlook Question

I tried to upload my Entourage into Outlook 2011, the folders carried over, but not the contents of the folders.  How do I get the contents to carry over to Outlook?

Is it possible to link a message to a contact, or group of contacts in Outlook 2011. I know it was possible in previous versions, or in Entourage. But I can't seem to figure it out in this version...

Thanks,

Mark Sass
In Entourage, when you Print the calendar, you have various "Printing Options" as listed in the "Forms: pull down menu in the print dialog box, e.g. Day Runner Classic (5.5 x 8.5).

In Outlook, these options are missing. I see that, on a machine that has both Office 2008 and Office 2011 installed, these forms are available in /Users/username/Documents/Microsoft User Data/Printing Options/. But they do not appear available in the Print or Page Setup interfaces in Outlook 2011.

I have explored the Layout options (2-page), and creating a new custom page size using Page Setup, but the results in PDF are not the same as Entourage generates.

I suspect that Microsoft chose this to be one of the features to leave out in the product development process. But can someone advise me otherwise?

William Smith and Diane Ross, excellent MVP resources, can you assist?
Let me start off by saying I'm a PC guy with VERY limited MAC knowledge. I've been put in the role of supporting a MAC user.

Several months ago, we migrated her mailbox from Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2010. When we did so, her Entourage broke. Research showed that Entourage would not work with Exchange 2010, so we upgraded her to Office 2011/Outlook.

At first, things looked to be going fine, then she started complaining about calendar.

I started looking, and her outlook 2011 did not reflect all calendar entries (not even 10% of them). I worked on it for a bit and could not figure out what was going on. She also polls an IMAP mailbox that is outside of our organization.

Finally, I decided to create a new profile (or as the outlook mac community calls them, a new identity).

I found the database tool and created a new identity and configured it to connect to the Exchange server. Once it finished it synchronization and reported all folders are up to date, I did a comparison.

Her mailbox, if I connect with a PC and Outlook 2010 and look in list view, reflects 1169 items dating back to  2007 and ranging forward to 2017.

On her MacBook Pro (OS X v10.6.8) running Outlook 2011 v 14.2.2 reflects that she has 19 items, all dated in 2012

Any idea what gives here and how to resolve the issue?

Best Regards,

David
We share a mailbox between 4 users and take work from a shared mailbox. In Entourage, when you moved an email from the shared mailbox to your inbox it would remove it from the shared. We just installed Outlook 2011 for Mac and it's causing problems of duplicate work because if we forget to go back and delete from shared after moving the email remains in the queue for another person to grab. Is there a setting to change this or has Microsoft screwed me again?
I am upgrading a computer from Office for MAC 204 to Office 2011.  I currently use Entourage for my email .  Will the installer transfer all my saved mail from Entourage to the new version of Outlook?
