files won’t open in the live movie maker

I have completed simple video editing and have watched the final videos, but now, perhaps b/c I moved the files/renamed the folders, the video clips can't be found. Error message states: The file is missing. 

I know where to find the clips by the name of them and by going into the search mode on the computer to find them, but this is tedious. Does this program only work when the original video clips are accessible for the computer? I want to be able to burn them to a disk and not worry about the files missing (unplayable).  Will videos not play unless attached to the original files on the computer?

Can not connect with my friend through windows messenger and can’t see his requests either??

My friend doesn't get my friend request and neither do I when he sends me a request. We can not connect  and chat. 

Apparently when he tries to connect to me the error message states: "Your done! It looks like (my email address) does not use windows live yet. We sent an email message to them with instructions on how to connect with you on windows live." 

My email address is correct in the error message so I know he has typed it in correctly. Though I didn't receive an email with instructions?

Do you know how to resolve so we can connect please?
