I believe I know what caused the problem but now I need to know how to fix it.

Last night I sent an email to a friend with an attachment.  I didn't realize until I hit Send that the attachment was 10mg.  It seemed to send okay but since then I have been getting this error.  Below is the error message and the version of Live Mail that I am running.

PLEASE DO NOT tell me to re-configure my email account.  That seems to be the canned response any time there is a problem with Live Mail.  There should be procedures that will handle any error message received that does not require reconfiguring.  That seems like a copout because people are too lazy to find a real solution.

My internet connection is so slow that it makes a snail look like he is in warp-drive.  So there has to be some other solution rather than re-configuring.

Thank you for any reasonable solution you can provide.

Hello,

I work for a college and in March 2013 we got an exemption so that we would be able to create more than five accounts per day. Unfortunately, we are having the problem again now and the new semester starts in two weeks. Could we get this fixed again. Our IP block is 198.54.211.0/24. This is Landmark College in Putney, VT. Thank you for any help.

Have today been unable to recieve emails but can send them. Error message 0x 800CCC90 keeps coming up.

"Unable to send or receive messages for the Bigpond (loriemerson) account. An incorrect password was entered. The next time you send or receive messages, you'll be asked to enter your user name and password for this account.

Server Error: 0x800CCC90
Server Response: -ERR invalid user name or password.
Server: 'mail.bigpond.com'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC92
Protocol: POP3
Port: 110
Secure(SSL): No"

I have removed the email account and then added it again. I have also tried to get access with the email protection in Nortin Anti Virus turned off.

Neither action has succeeded in providing access. Can anyone suggest a solution?
when trying to use clean up contacts in windows live mail, receive error message: We can't find that page The page no longer exists, is private, or might have moved. Make sure the web address is correct or try using a different link.
I am trying to register my domain for e-mail but I keep getting this error message.

The reason I ask is to determine if it would solve my Windows Movie Maker problem: preview pane (monitor) remains black despite dragging images onto the Timeline, and nothing can be saved to my computer.  There's an error message that the source no longer exists or there isn't enough disk space (there is plenty) and another thing which I've forgotten.  Someone kindly suggested Pstory, but I can't persuade it to work despite having studied the tutorials.  Pstory won't allow me to make a video more than a minute long despite a three minute soundtrack.  I've given up on it.  My guess is that the only option I have is to purchase a movie maker compatible with Windows XP if they exist.  If they do, what are they?  Thank you.
Sincerely,
Kestal Phillips

Hi, I've been using my computer for two years but have recently got this error message with Live Windows.  Can you tell me what is going wrong?

Unable to send or receive messages for the Yahoo.co (travelgemma) account. The connection to the server has failed.

Server: 'pop.mail.yahoo.co.uk'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC0E
Protocol: POP3
Port: 995
Secure(SSL): Yes
Socket Error: 10060

Thank you

Gemma

I am receiving emails just fine. When trying to respond, I get an error message, "Connection to the server failed or was dropped." If I cut and paste the email received into a fresh message, including my response, it sends fine. Went over my SMTP settings with AT&T and all are correct. I'm on Outlook 14.1.0; Mac OSX 10.8.5.

Hi,

I have just updated my laptop from windows 8 to windows 8.1 yesterday and ever since then I have been unable to access my emails using window live mail.  I can only access my emails via the internet.  The error message in my title above pops up.  I have repaired, uninstalled and installed windows essential, but to no avail.  I have looked online for help and advice and so far have found nothing that sorts out the problem. Please advise.
