I tried using these settings to set it up but I'm getting an error message.
Settings I used:
Incoming:
- incoming Mail Server: imap-mail.outlook.com
- Port: 993
Outgoing:
- Outgoing Mail Server: smtp-mail.outlook.com
- Port: 587
Error Message:
OK Outlook.com IMAP4rev1 server version 17.2.0.0 ready (BAY451-IMAP278)

I'm trying to use my own domain with outlook.com, I went to Windows Live Admin Center, then click "get started", entered my own domain and then click the next, it gives me the following error message"This
domain name can't be used because it contains a protected word or inappropriate language. Please contact support if you
feel this is not the case."
If I click the support, it will tell me sign in error.
the interesting thing is no matter what domain I entered, it gives me the above error message.
is it still open to the public? if I want to get support, where should I go to?

I think I found the problem, my domain contain word "finance", while, I'm not making any money on this. anyone here can help?

I am having the same problem. I get the "Sorry, windows live movie maker cant start" error, even though my system meets all the specified requirements.
I have followed the instructions and collected all the logs and diagnostic reports.. Can I send them to you for your advice please?

Every time I log in with Windows 8.1 RTM I get a SkyDrive error message that it cannot get a connection. I suspect the PC has not authenticated through the corporate proxy and thus it cannot reach the MS server. Later on I have no problem. How can I stop
or at least delay the SkyDrive attempts to connect?

im trying to make an AVP then suddenly i noticed there's something wrong with transparency of the effects and i found out that people are having problems with that too, i tried to update my movie maker but when i tried to open it says to check my system requirements then i tried to restore my laptop back to the time before i install the windows essential to revert things and now i got this error message i hope you can help me cause i need the AVP by saturday thanks

The support desk of the registrar of my domain has been trying to add my MX records as per the instructions on Windows Live Admin. There was no problem with the first but an error message - "Error:- invalid mail server" - was received when trying to use
the value below.
