I recently (yesterday) lost the ability to send and receive mail within Live Mail. Error Message:

Unable to send or receive messages for the MSN account.

Server Error: 0x800488EB
Server: 'https://mail.services.live.com/DeltaSync_v2.0.0/Sync.aspx'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800488EB

I tried the fixes offered by Mary V., but to no avail. I'm at a loss as to why Live Mail stopped working, as no changes were made to system prior to failure. I have switched to Outlook for now.

Since starting in a new office.  I have started getting this error message: 

Mail could not be received at this time. The server for account "Gmail" returned the error "[ALERT] Too many simultaneous connections (Failure)." Your username/password or security settings may be incorrect. Would you like to try re-entering your password

Re-entering the password does nothing to stop this.

I have read many forums & there seems to be no solution.  This message comes up every 10 seconds and makes using Outlook impossible.  I am currently typing my emails in word then cutting and pasting into outlook and sending in between each 10 second.

I have Office for Mac 2011.  It has all the latest up dates. I am using IMAP accounts.

I have tried changing my gmail settings

Removing my keychains

Creating new identities

changing my schedules so it isn;t "send and receive all"

I do not have gmail on my phone but I do access it from home

Can anyone helps resolve this?

I'm unable to send or receive emails through Windows Live Mail.  The problem started within the last 3 hours as I had sent and received several emails earlier this morning.  I was alerted to the problem when I noticed that I had received several emails on my mobile device that had not been delivered to my desktop client so I clicked "update all" and got the 0x800488EB error message.  I then shut down and restarted Windows Live Mail, no help, then restarted my computer, also no help.  I then logged in at Outlook.com, the new emails were there and I was able to recompose and send a time-sensitive email that was in the outbox of my desktop client.  I then deleted that email from my outbox and tried "update all" again to no avail.  What next?

Window Live mail suddenly stop working this morning. The error message is 0x8800488EB. At first I thought it was a PC issue, then I tried my laptop and tablet, same issue on all three. I moved all folders on to the hard drive, removed Windows Mail Live and re-configured it.  Same issue, it does not sync. Help!!!!!!!

I can't live without my mail.

I get and error message when trying to send or receive emails.

The error messages says: 

Unable to send or receive messages for the Msn (gartleyj) account.

This only happens on my laptop and not on my desktop or my IPAD.

How can I correct this?

Till about 2 days back I was happily sending and receiving my mails. But now eventhough I receive mails in Windows Live Mail The mails I send stay in the outbox .I get an error messagewhich says,

I will be thankful if a solution to this problem is given to me.

Beginning yesterday (5/7/14), I began receiving the error message listed above. In the details section it states the following: The message could not be sent because it has unresolved recipients. The error code is 50. I have received this error over 2500 times in a 24 hour period (I left my Macbook on overnight). I send about 30-40 emails a day. Does anyone know what is going on?

I'm trying to help out my grandfather with an issue and can't seem to figure it out.

He's been trying to send an email and this error message keeps coming up:

This email account has been temporarily deactivated. To get help with reactivating it, go to Windows Live Customer Support at http://support.live.com and click Windows Live Hotmail in the list of services.

Subject 'blank'
Server Error: 3213
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x8DE00005

I blanked the subject for safety reasons.

I just set up 2 email accounts and cannot receive mail in them.  An error message keeps popping up.  See example below.  How can I fix this?
