All I want to do is change my email address for all Microsoft Communications Like Security Alerts, etc.

I have tried unsuccessfully to change my email address for all Microsoft Communications using theMicrosoft Profile Center. EVERY attempt results in the following error message:

"An unknown error occurred while processing your request. This is most likely due to a connection failure. Please try again".

This has been going on for two months!

What can I do to effect this simple change?
