Hi,

I am unable to send or receive amil in Windows Live Mail. I have Windows Vista and the full error message is as follows:

Unable to send or receive messages for the Hotmail (uk-tomko) account.

Server Error: 0x80072F19
Server: 'https://mail.services.live.com/DeltaSync_v2.0.0/Sync.aspx'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x80072F19

Can you help?

Cheers

Tom Palfrey

I am getting the below error message when I try to send e-mails with a scanned attachment from Windows Live Mail. My e-mail server is through Road Runner Cable not Hot Mail. I called Road Runner and they say it is a Microsoft problem.

Delete the photo email, create a new one, and try to send it again.

Server: 'smtp-server.san.rr.com'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x8CCC0003
Protocol: SMTP
Port: 25
Secure(SSL): No

I get no error message; it simply returns to the log in screen after displaying the "signing in" screen for a few seconds.  I've tried re-entering my email and password, and restarting both Messenger and my computer.
I inadvertantly attached a photo to an e-mail, one photo, whichI did not intend doing. How do I remove this attachment from my draft? I have tried everything but nothing has any effect. Please help!!
I have a problem with Outlook for Mac (2011 v14.2.4) using IMAP folders. My provider's mail server software (Qmail) creates a file in the root of the folder structure called .qmail - it keeps properties in it I understand - and Outlook seems to not only see this file but decide that it's a folder and subscribe to it automatically. Once this happens it turns into a folder (which then appears on other devices) and I can delete it (but not unsubscribe to it). I have to delete it to stop Outlook posting a 1025 error every 10 minutes or so because it's not accessible.

The .qmail file doesn't show up if the server is queried using the IMAP protocol (LIST "" "*") so I am disappointed that Outlook sees this file AND turns it into a folder by subscribing to it AND won't let me unsubscribe to it after that AND resubscribes me if I unsubscribe using the Webmail tools for this account. It could hardly be handling this more incorrectly if it tried...

Is there any way to check that Outlook is using the IMAP protocol correctly to build it's folder list? It seems from this and other issues on the site as though it really isn't.

For now I have set Tools / Accounts / <this account> / Advanced / Server and unchecked "Sync all IMAP folders every 10 minutes" and have deleted the folder from Outlook. Hopefully it will now stay gone and not give me the error any more but there seems to be a problem now with the unread message count. Presumably this is because the folder isn't being refreshed? In which case D'oh! I have been resetting the unread counts manually: because I read all the mail I can do this fairly easily but if I was using the unread message count seriously it would be completely broken for me now.

Any ideas about how I can get the IMAP folders enumerated correctly so that the .qmail file is not read as a folder? I think this would be okay if Outlook used the IMAP LIST command to read the server but I guess it has some extensions to work with Exchange that are actually not quite compatible...

Thanks for reading!

Richard

I deleted more than 100 senders from my "blocked senders" list a couple of days ago after getting en error message saying the list was full. I need more space or else another way to keep porno senders from getting mail to my junk mailbox. I have small grandchildren who are computer savvy, and even though they don't know my password, they are clever enough to figure it out. I DO NOT WANT porno stuff in ANY of my mail. I need either more space or a block that will block certain words and/or phrases if they occur in either sender or subject lines.

Update: I got a link and a forum moderator's "hook," but it was the same answer I got in my email. . . to go to a "link" (provided but not accessible or "connectable" by my home network) and then read an answer from ZigZagaq3143x. I found the forum, but the only answer in it was the same as in the email. . . to go to the "link," etc., etc., etc. Got a loop going here, and my question has NOT been answered. I suspect there is no answer.
