So recently, I just deleted Windows Essentials since I never used any of the applications included with it that much. I notice that there were some files in My Documents that I had never seen before until recently. These files were "My Weblogs" and "My
Received Files" they were created on the same day according to what it said in properties, and on that day I believe is when I downloaded Essentials. So my question is if it is okay for me to delete these two folders since I think they may have just been apart
of Essentials?
Windows 7 64 bit machine has Essentials, but cant update because Of 2 error codes being 0x80070645 and the second error code being 8000FFFF. Ive tried the MS errors fixer downloads and those didnt work, i have administrator rights, but still cant past
those 2 error codes...HELP?
Whenever I try to open any of the WL Essentials components, my cursor does the loading animation for a few seconds, and then nothing happens. I have tried reinstalling Essentials several times, but it didn't help.
On a different forum someone told me to edit some registry keys, but didn't tell me anything on exactly what I should do with it. Maybe that would help?

I have a new computer with Windows 8. The email format is terrible, and I would like to install Windows Essentials which I understand will permit the installation of a program similar or equal to Windows Live Male. Everything I have read states that
if I download Window Essentials I will be able to solve my problem. However, every time I try to download Essentials, the attempt is stopped with the message that essentials failed to download, restart your computer and try again. What am I doing wrong?
What can I do to download Window Essentials 2012? Thanks for the help.
After a year of working well in new computer, and following an automatic update of Essentials a few days ago, Live Mail freezes up right after opening. Have to reboot computer to shut it down.
Following suggestions in community, I have repaired Essentials several times, and done clean uninstall and reinstall. Occasionally, Live Mail works briefly, allowing download of new mail, but then freezes again. I'm tearing my hair out! Help!
Just downloaded and installed the latest version of essentials on desktop running win7, All references in help, etc are in win 8.1 touch screen speak which is on my laptop - should I be looking for a win 7 version of Essentials? If not, is there a different solution?

After upgrading to Windows 8.1 several months ago, I finally got around to using Movie Maker (from Windows Essentials 2012 package) yesterday but I found that I cannot add any audio/music onto my project at all. The "Add Music" icon at the top of the "Home"
row is shaded out, thus not allowing me to click it. When I try to import the audio file through the file menu, a pop-up says "Movie Maker doesn't support the selected file type." However, the audio file is a .mp3 and I have had no problem adding this particular
file before I made the upgrade to Windows 8.1 several months ago.

i have been trying to download essentials photo gallery for two days now, even to someone as computer challenged as i am, it seems a little unco-operative. it STARTS to download, gets to 510kb of 1210kb and just doesnt complete it. everytime at 510kb,
no error messages or hints at the problem, just nothing progresses past 510kg. HEEEELP PLEASE, im bout ready to burn this infernal machine or become a raging alcoholic, havent decided yet, depends if this irritating behavior can be corrected. hopefully when

I have an issue whereby when sending emails, I have windows 7 premium I installed and created hotmail with live essentials I think.
I have looked at account settings instead of seeing incoming and going ports with port numbers, instead all there is an url address which doesn't allow to manually input port settings. This has be going on for awhile 18 months or so, recipient are getting
annoyed with me and blocking email address. I don't know whether I was downloading something or creating something, I have checked settings as mentioned while in live essentials for answers ref settings. Also when I have gone in direct via hotmail it still
doesn't show ports and No just url. I created documents transferred all e-mails from live account and talktalk also gmail. Uninstalling live essentials and then reinstalling essentials send and receive emails still receive duplications still there, talktalk
account is a pop account settings there gmail account is an imap settings. With having smart phone sending e-mails via live account still have duplicatings. But noticed live hotmail acoount setting s showed settings through imap incoming and outgoing ports
with numbers. I assume that with live account on phone showing settings imap that possible that settings on pc might also be imap. Can someone suggest what to do to fix issue, could it be if I had incoming and outgoing setting ls for hotmail account might

Whenever I try to download Windows Live Movie Maker here http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-live/movie-maker#t1=overview I get Windows Essentials.
The first time I downloaded that, but afterwords, I couldn't find Essentials on my computer. I tried to download it again and got the same file...I thought that was supposed to be the download for Windows Live Movie Maker, not Essentials? I know Movie Maker
is included in Essentials, but I just can't find it and all my computer does is offer to update it when I search for it on the Start menu.
Overall, after downloading Essentials, I can't find it anywhere, nor can I find Movie Maker if that's supposed to be downloaded with it.
I'm assuming I'm just missing a small step, but I need a little help here.
If you need information about my computer, it's a Samsung notebook running i5 (there must be more, but I don't know anymore than that).
