Greetings,

We have an AD / Exchange / mostly PC environment with a few Macs running Outlook 2011. We also have an blast email service hosted outside Exchange with the same email address as an internally hosted e-mail we keep to catch the replies. Sometimes we like to test the blast emails and usually, under all other email clients, it shows up as TEST within the reply field.

However, that is not the case with outlook 2011 connected to Exchange. It just shows the first part of the email address. It's a cause of confusion since they don't know which messages are tests and which are not. We have to go into the headers to figure it out.

The below is in the Headers. We want the ENTIRE string to show up in the e-mail and not just the info part.

From: "TEST MESSAGE FROM: info@xxx>

Reply-To: "TEST MESSAGE FROM: info@xxx>

Is there a way to remedy this? I've already hidden the internal info address to see if that fixes it with no luck.

Thanks in Advance.

Hi,

One of our managers was put on a Microsoft Exchange account when she went on Maternity Leave, and now that she is back is having major issues with speed. It's 100% her Outlook causing the issue. I've updated her Office to 14.3.8 and her brand new Macbook pro is at 10.8+. She is the only one of 20+ staff on Exchange. I've spent several days doing everything I can to optimize it, and nothing seems to work. She is set to only download headers and no folders are over 2000 email anymore. The wheel is spinning over 50% of the time and the scroll doesn't work. It seems to be constantly syncing or sync pending. At this point, the only thing that will make anyone happy is to have her moved back to an IMAP account.

I can't find anything on this. I realize Exchange is much different from POP and IMAP so you can't just switch, but so what do I need to do? I don't know enough about Exchange to know how better to ask this question, so any background information helps. Any additional resources on Exchange might help too. I've read for hours on what could be affecting the speed, and at this point we just want her off Exchange.

Help? Thanks for any in advance!
Hi,
I am having problems adding my hotmail account to my new iphone 5. My hotmail account is approx. 10 yrs old and was working fine with my old old iphone 2 wks ago. All my mail and mail folders were syncing fine.

I have tried adding the account via the Hotmail, Exchange and other mail settings on my new iphone. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling it several times.

It will not sync all my mail. It starts sycning at a random date in 2010 and never finishes syncing. It will work when I sync only to one month but this is useless for me -  I need at least one years worth of emails.

Can you please advise.
I set up Exchange on Outlook for Mac 2011 and it is connecting fine, downloading all my sub-folders. It says it is downloading emails (e.g. 16 in inbox and the blue bar goes to 16/16) but no emails are displayed in any folders or sub-folders. It says "connected to Exchange" in the bottom right, and "all folders are up to date". I can send emails from it Outlook for Mac, but I can't see any. OWA is working fine. I've downloaded all updates.

Can anyone help?

Thanks
Ian

I'm running Outlook 2011 on my Apple 10.6 machines - 2 desktops and 2 laptops.  They are synchronizing to an Exchange 2010 server at work. Everything works ok except I'm noticing that one task is missing on one of the laptops - it sees the others and they're being updated (synchronized) but this one is missing! What can be done?
I work from home and use my iMac as my desktop. My firm uses Outlook over an Exchange server since many of us are virtual. Whenever I have responded to and set permissions for calendar sharing with my colleagues, my Outlook freezes up frequently. Also, when I compose an email, I get my address in the sender slot along with those of my colleagues (though it is clear that I don't have permission to email from their accounts). Is there a patch for this to correct the bugs? Or do I have to forget about using calendar sharing on the Mac and get a PC?
I have Exchange set up on my iPhone and receive emails from my main address plus my two aliases. The problem is when I send an email, it is sent from one of my aliases and not the primary email address. I've tried deleting and re-connecting the account, plus have gone through my e-mail settings to double check the primary e-mail is set as I want it, to no avail. Is there an option other than deleting the alias that the emails are being sent from?
Why can't we Exchange (Office 365) users save our groups (recipient lists) in the cloud?
I'm using Outlook 2011 Mac with Exchange.  It says "sync pending" and then "downloading attachments" and then never stops cycling through this apparently not recognizing that it has downloaded the attachments?  Any ideas?  I am using a new MacBook Air 11".  I do not have this problem on any of the 5 other devices that are using Outlook 2011 for Mac with this Exchange server.
