I have the same problem. A lot of my emails have suddenly appeared in a POP file on my computer. I have read the above answer and would like you to explain how I can use Exchange Activesync(EAS) to access my emails on my phone. Unfortunately, I am new to all this technological terminology and need very specific indications!!!
My domain's mail is handled by Outlook.com. I did this for the Exchange ActiveSync that Google Apps recently dropped.

I'm having an issue with Outlook for Mac 2011. I need to get my emails as soon as they come in, and it's hard to do that with only POP3 access on my desktop/laptop. Sure I get my emails on my phone fine and dandy, but when I'm at my desk I don't want to have to grab my phone each time a new email comes in.

When I had Google Apps, I had IMAP, which was suitable. Outlook.com's POP3 won't let me check more than a couple of times in a 15 minute window.

Is there anyway around this, or am I screwed with Outlook for Mac?

And, I only use Mac so the Office Connector is of no use to me. :(

Thanks!

I recently upgraded to Outlook 2013 and I no longer can sync my contacts via icloud. I have read that icloud control panel does not support outlook 2013, so I have been trying to sync using exchange activesync using my live.com email account. This not worked either. So I have two questions. First will exchange activesync work between iphone 5 and outlook 2013 so that contacts can be viewed and changed in either outlook or iphone and updated in the other? Second, how can I get exchange activesync to work between outlook 2013 on my laptop running windows 7 and my iphone5?

thanks for any good answers.

Today, I found that I can no longer send emails from Outlook.com on any device that uses Exchange ActiveSync.

I have an iPhone 4S running iOS 6.1.3, an iPad 4 running iOS 6.1.3.

Both devices are able to receive messages, but neither are able to send.

I have tried to change internet connections (cellular and wifi) to ensure that it's not network related.

I also tried to remove and then re-add my account to both the iPhone and iPad with no success.

I also have a Windows 8 machine with Outlook 2013 installed, and as of today, I can not send email from there either. I have tried on 2 different computers, and have tried to delete and then re-add the account on both machines. None of this has helped.

I am able to login at mail.live.com and send/receive email there without issue, and I am not prompted to verify my account.

Any ideas for what could have gone wrong?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Several issues syncing / editing / creating calendar items on phone:

1. Changes made to the reminder time are not saved.
2. Edits made to existing appointments are unable to be synced - get 'Sync protocol error'
3. New appointments created also will not sync.

phone - HTC Sensation running Android 4.0.3 and Exchange ActiveSync.

Mail and Contacts sync just fine.

The calendar is basically 'read only' as any edits made on the phone results in sync errors.

Before updating to Outlook 2013 and EAS on the home PC, I constantly received sync errors in outlook 2010 with the Hotmail connector.
Is it possible when connecting someone to an exchange server to only activate certain services, like you can for Exchange ActiveSync on a mobile device?

we have a client that hosts their email somewhere else, but needs to sync their contacts and calendars via exchange. So it would be great to connect them to an exchange server that we have, but to only use it for the contacts and calendars.  We DO have them set up and calendars and contacts are syncing as planned. But the setup forces them to also have superflous  InBoxes in their Mail section that they do not need. Since the client is not technical it is very confusing to them. So we would love to deactivate the mail service on that particular exchange account and leave the Conctacts and Calendars syncing. Unfortunately,I don't think there is an ActiveSynclike implementation for desktops.

Hopefully I was clear on this.

Thanks so much in advance for anyone who has any thoughts on this, even if it's not possible.  If it's not - I would suggest this as a feature to implement.

Oh yes - We're working on Outlook for Mac.

Thank You!
