Hi,
I have a couple of clients both using Outlook 2011 on their mac's which have been connecting to exchange without issue until last week when some updates were applied to the exchange server.
Now their outlook will connect/disconnect from exchange every few seconds and when trying to send an email they are deposited directly into the drafts folder.
The issue occurs both while in the office and connected to the domain, and also when trying to send mail from an outside connection using http proxy connection for exchange.

Server is running Windows Server Standard SP2
Exchange is version 8.03.0342.000 with Rollup 12 installed

The updates applied to exchange just before the issues arose are: (aside from definition updates)
KB2893984
KB890830

Is it likely for any of these to affect the connectivity for macs?  Does anyone else have another suggestion?

Thanks.
Macbook Pro w/Outlook 2011.  User has one (of many) recurring meetings he accepted (a weekly meeting) and it shows fine in his Outlook calendar (setup for Exchange).

This one recurring meeting does NOT show up on the users' iPhone or in OWA (meaning it is not on the Exchange server).

How can I get this one recurring meeting to sync (or at least get moved) to his calendar on the Exchange server so it can sync to his iPhone?

Asking the person who originated the meeting to re-invite is not an option.

Thank you.
I have an exchange server at work and am using Outlook for Mac 2011 at home.  At first I was able to delete emails from my inbox on my Mac at home and not see them when I logged back in from my PC at work.  Now the emails just won't delete.  I get send and receive emails (though if sent from my home Mac they don't show in the sent items on the exchange server.  This is driving me absolutely nuts.  What do I need to change?  I have both iphone and ipad linked to Exchange server and that works just fine so not sure what I'm doing wrong.  Help!
I have a number of users on Outlook 2011 that are having issues working between the office and remotely when attempting to connect to an Exchange 2010 server.

Within the office, users must be connected via ethernet. Internally, the mail server is internal.mycompany.com. Externally, it's external.mycompany.com

When the user is connected to the internal network, only internal.mycompany.com is reachable. external.mycompany.com is not. When working remotely, the opposite is in effect. (I don't know why this is the case, I'm just the support grunt).

When attempting to configure Outlook 2011 and the user is connected to the internal network, auto discover seems to try and access external.mycompany.com rather than internal.mycompany.com.

No matter if I allow or deny the request, eventually Outlook will prompt for me to enter the server address manually. When I add internal.mycompany.com, it connects. When the user goes offsite, it switches to external.mycompany.com.

But, when the user comes back to the office, Outlook fails to switch and the user cannot connect.

Apple Mail does detect the correct server details for both internal and external servers, avoiding the issue.

Can anyone shed any light on the issue? At first, I thought it might have been an Exchange-related issue but as I can get mail to work within Apple Mail, I'm leaning towards an Outlook 2011 issue.

Is it possible to manually specify both internal and external servers and turn auto discovery off?

Environment:  Exchange Server, 4 Windows Outlook, 1 Mac Outlook 2011.

In one user's mailbox I've created a new contacts folder called "Company Name - Contacts".  Shared it successfully to the Windows/Outlook users.

The Mac/Outlook 2011(14.3.9) user received the share invitation email, which appears non-functional.  Is that correct?  Share invitations simply don't work on Outlook 2011?

The Mac/OL2011 user can go File - Open and select the other user's Inbox, Address Book or Calendar.  No apparent way to open other folders.

Is what I'm trying to do impossible with the Mac/Outlook 2011 client..?

Thanks!

I have tried to import the PST into Mac Office 2011 but no date imports.  I finally found one article that says you have to set up as an exchange server.  What if I don't have an exchange server?  How else can I migrate all my Outlook data to the Mac Outlook?
we just start to use Exchange . the server located in china.

HK have about 10 users, 5 PC +5 mac.
we are using Mac outlook 2011. all mac setup the a/c already, but all mac always show me ' connecting to server name'. then after few mins it will resume.

But after a while, it will show me 'not connected to server' again..
In this period, they only can use Webmail .

I did test 2 ISP, with different user, but no luck.
But our Win7 user seem working ok.
thank a lots
I'm using Outlook 2011 (updated to the latest version) on Mac OS 10.8, to connect to an Exchange server (2010 I believe). On all the clients (desktop, laptops), when I export to .olm file, it crashes during the Calendar export. Since it happens on multiple clients, I don't think it's corruption of an identity in Outlook; what do I do to get it exported (backed up) properly?
Hi all,

I have an issue on my exchange server. All emails function correctly but when emails are send to the hotmail, msn, live domains, they fail.
The following error appears.

BAY0-MC4-F48.Bay0.hotmail.com
SC-002 (BAY0-MC4-F48) Unfortunately, messages from xxx.xxx.x.xxx weren't sent. Please contact your Internet service provider since part of their network is on our block list. You can also refer your provider to http://mail.live.com/mail/

I checked with my isp and they are not blocking any ips and all the domains hotmail, msn, live are white listed .
After searching the error message SC-002 I found this:

“Emails rejected by Outlook for policy reasons. The email server IP connecting to Outlook has exhibited namespace mining behaviour. If you are not an email/network admin please contact your Email/Internet Service Provider for help.”

I would appreciate any help in resolving this error so the ip can be unblocked.

Thanking You

Hi,

I am using the latest version of Office for Mac 2011.

Every time I log onto my network at work, I have to re enter the Microsoft Server Address in Outlook.

I re enter the address and restart Outlook and I am then connected.

Any idea why?

Thanks

Tim
