Hello,
I have an odd issue: I have a client who is a consultant that has two different email accounts between two different companies. One is running Exchange 2007 SP3 and the other is Office 365. Both accounts are configured as exchange accounts in Outlook 2011.
Outlook 2011 is version 14.3.2 and the OS is Mountain Lion on the mac.
The thing is that mail from all his folders is being replicated, or synchronized between both Exchange accounts. I cant figure out how its doing this synchronization because mail is coming into the inbox on the onsite exchange server, and it did not arrive
there via SMTP.
So for example his sent mail in Company A is also showing up in his sent mail in Company B even with the From fields and to fields intact. so its *** Email address is removed for privacy *** showing up in B.com's exchange server.
I am trying to replicate the problem on My Mac by making accounts in both companies with Outlook 2011, but so far I havent seen any mail copy over.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
The server is working fine with all my other devices. When I delete emails, they delete from the server and from all my devices, including my Macbook, so it's not the server. It's also just email as tasks and calendar items can be deleted from my Macbook
and they get deleted from the server. Is there a setting that needs changing on my Macbook or in Outlook for Mac?
I have been running Outlook for Mac 2011 for 18 months. it has been working fine syncing with Exchange Server. Very recently it stopped syncing and will now only download 512 emails in both the inbox and sent items, will not update as new emails arrive,
wont sync contacts or calender.
The only way to update the latest emails is to clear the cache but it still only downloads 512 emails.
I have re-installed Office three times, created new identities but without any solution. I have even tested the situation on another Apple laptop with Outlook but the same results occur.
Apple say it is not an operating system issue, Microsoft want the usual money before they look into it and my IT company, who don't support Apple but have looked into can't seem to find an answer. Having tested the situation on another Apple laptop, my suspicion this is an exchange server issue, although I have tried another email address on my company's exchange server with the same results.
I have updated to the latest version of Outlook (14.3.2)
By the way, i also sync my iPhone with the same exchange server and this works fine.
Can anybody shed some light on this.

Hello,
I have a problem with the parameters in advanced outlook 2011 MAC
Indeed impossible to fix a server address type external https://owa.****.
Once the external address input, it remains until the next redemarage.
It is replaced by the internal address of my exchange server 2010.
Would there be a parameter in the server?
I have not problem in Windows Outlook clients (2003 2007 2010)
Thank you for your return.

I'm getting this message every few minutes. Seems to be related to when new emails arrive from our Exchange 2010 server.
I'm running Office 2011 for Mac. I'm on the latest update (14.3.2). I have rebuilt the Outlook database.
I saw one suggestion that proposed going in through Outlook Web Access and removing everything from the "Recovered Files". Did that.
Still getting this message every few minutes.
Anyone got any idea how to fix this?

A friend who I do free tech support for deleted two months (Jan-Feb 13) of email from their exchange server, and it was, of course, deleted locally as well. They were set up with POP until January, so when the account on the server became full, it wasn't
a problem for her local archive to delete emails from the server.
I need to recover the emails. The problem is, when I restore the identity (from the day before everything was deleted) from the Time Machine backup, they show up when Outlook launches, but a progress bar immediately appears and they're automatically deleted before I can do anything. Then the inbox is populated with everything on the server after the date it was cleared.
They're still on the time machine backup, but I can't figure out how to recover them. I also have to figure out how to set up Outlook to locally archive all their email.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
It's an updated Office 11 Mac on a new MacBook Pro running Mountain Lion.
Thanks!

Is it possible to add a Hotmail account in Entourage through an Exchange server? If so, what are the step-by-step settings?
Web searching for an answer has not been successful, and this link has not worked: http://help.outlook.com/en-us/140/ee461397.aspx. Plus I already know about the POP/SMTP settings and have the account available that way. But I'm hoping to have the better abilities of Exchange for the account.
Please advise.
When I add a new tasks it adds the task to the local tasks list. I would like by default to have the tasks added to the Exchange Server task list. Is there a setting for default task list.
Is it possible when connecting someone to an exchange server to only activate certain services, like you can for Exchange ActiveSync on a mobile device?
we have a client that hosts their email somewhere else, but needs to sync their contacts and calendars via exchange. So it would be great to connect them to an exchange server that we have, but to only use it for the contacts and calendars. We DO have
them set up and calendars and contacts are syncing as planned. But the setup forces them to also have superflous InBoxes in their Mail section that they do not need. Since the client is not technical it is very confusing to them. So we would love to deactivate
the mail service on that particular exchange account and leave the Conctacts and Calendars syncing. Unfortunately,I don't think there is an ActiveSynclike implementation for desktops.
Hopefully I was clear on this.
Thanks so much in advance for anyone who has any thoughts on this, even if it's not possible. If it's not - I would suggest this as a feature to implement.
Oh yes - We're working on Outlook for Mac.
Thank You!
I am running Outlook 2011 (OSX) update 14.2.5 and having trouble after I changed the Exchange server.
The original server setting was x.com and now I have changed over to y.org. I have update the server setting under account to point to y.org, however every now and again the server changes back to x.com. I suspect this typically happens when I shut down
and restart Outlook. Additionally I get a untrusted certificate request for x.com popping up.
Additionally I have cleared all references to x.com from Utilities>Key chain access. For good measure I have also cleared my dns cache and my browser cache.
This is incredibly frustrating and rather dangerous since I miss important business emails due to this problem. Please help
