Movie Maker will continually crash while working on a project, and/or while working on many of my projects, the video turns gray with a exclamation point over it, and all video and audio fails to work.
The problem right now however, is spending tons of time on a project, with no hiccups and no issues, then saving and closing MM. Next time I open it to view the movie or edit it however, it loads with the afore mentioned problem already apparent, without doing anything.
Hi,
I just purchased a Surface 2 Pro and am loving it. However I'm also receiving the exclamation point on my SkyDrive folder in Explorer. When I right click on the SkyDrive folder and then click on problems it indicates that one file name is too long. I initially modified the filename down to about 12 characters and saved it and continue to receive the same message. I've deleted the file and receive the same message. I've shut down and restarted and still the same problem. What am I missing?
Thanks,
Rick Tibbitts
Hello,
I just got surprised again to see that my Skydrive icon on Explorer again shows an exclamation point. RIght-clicking it, and choosing 'View Problems', it tells me:
"There was a problem signing you in to Skydrive. Go to PC Settings to check the info for your Microsoft account."
Well, going to PC Settings, my account is connected. My apps are also updating. I can connect to my Skydrive account on the web.
But it also tells me that Fetching Files on this PC is not enabled/supported. But my settings is enabling it.
Service Status reports that everything is FINE.
On the skydrive website, it says that:
"Skydrive can't connect to "ifacedown-win8"
ifacedown-win8 is the name of my PC.
Just a month ago, I reinstalled Windows 8.1 just to correct this problem.
Please Microsoft, why these problems?...again?
Thanks
I'm using version 2012 Movie Maker. The Input video clips were taken on iphone4 and iPad and are .mov files, and come from various folders located on a NAS drive.
When the project file is re-opened, Movie Maker appears to locate only the first clip. All subsequent clips show the yellow triangle with exclamation point. I can readily "fix" this. The next time the project file is opened, the same thing happens again. And the next time, etc.!
I tried converting the .mov files to .wmv files - however exactly the same thing happens.
In summary, Movie Make knows the correct folder and filename for each clip, but apparently does not find the clips (other than the first).
The problem does NOT occur if the source files are located on a locally attached drive.
What is causing the problem when source files are on the NAS (a Synology box)?
