I have read through a lot of the peoples' posts regarding a yellow triangle with an exclamation point.  My problem is that I recently had to use a recovery disk on my Dell computer.  I had to re-download all my programs which is a huge mess as it is.  I downloaded Windows Essentials once again.  After doing this, I tried to open a couple of my Moviemaker projects.  Each time I do there are the triangles and exclamation point on ALL of my pictures and videos.  The problem is that each of my DVD's have as many as 450 pictures and/or videos.  The captions are still at the bottom but the pictures are gone.  When I click on the picture it says that the picture can't be found and takes me to my picture files.  To go through each of the 450 and do that...I will probably just have to start over.  I have spent hours on these DVD's.  HELP!

Movie Maker will continually crash while working on a project, and/or while working on many of my projects, the video turns gray with a exclamation point over it, and all video and audio fails to work.

The problem right now however, is spending tons of time on a project, with no hiccups and no issues, then saving and closing MM. Next time I open it to view the movie or edit it however, it loads with the afore mentioned problem already apparent, without doing anything.

I'm getting an error when trying to save in HD on windows movie maker. (Error:0x87160139) My files are there and I have formats of .mov and .mp4 . Whenever I preview my video in WLMM, the files are fine, it's all there. It's when I try to save it that it stops at a percentage then has a yellow triangle with an exclamation point. This is for a school English project, I've been up all night trying to fix this, only to have it crash multiple times.

Hi,

I just purchased a Surface 2 Pro and am loving it. However I'm also receiving the exclamation point on my SkyDrive folder in Explorer. When I right click on the SkyDrive folder and then click on problems it indicates that one file name is too long. I initially modified the filename down to about 12 characters and saved it and continue to receive the same message. I've deleted the file and receive the same message. I've shut down and restarted and still the same problem. What am I missing?

Thanks,

Rick Tibbitts

Hello,

I just got surprised again to see that my Skydrive icon on Explorer again shows an exclamation point. RIght-clicking it, and choosing 'View Problems', it tells me:

"There was a problem signing you in to Skydrive. Go to PC Settings to check the info for your Microsoft account."

Well, going to PC Settings, my account is connected. My apps are also updating. I can connect to my Skydrive account on the web.

But it also tells me that Fetching Files on this PC is not enabled/supported. But my settings is enabling it.

Service Status reports that everything is FINE.

On the skydrive website, it says that:

"Skydrive can't connect to "ifacedown-win8"

ifacedown-win8 is the name of my PC.

Just a month ago, I reinstalled Windows 8.1 just to correct this problem.

Please Microsoft, why these problems?...again?

Thanks

I'm using version 2012 Movie Maker.    The Input video clips were taken on iphone4 and iPad and are .mov files, and come from various folders located on a NAS drive.

When the project file is re-opened, Movie Maker appears to locate only the first clip.    All subsequent clips show the yellow triangle with exclamation point.    I can readily "fix" this.     The next time the project file is opened, the same thing happens again.    And the next time, etc.!

I tried converting the .mov files to .wmv files - however exactly the same thing happens.

In summary, Movie Make knows the correct folder and filename for each clip, but apparently does not find the clips (other than the first).

The problem does NOT occur if the source files are located on a locally attached drive.

What is causing the problem when source files are on the NAS (a Synology box)?

In place of Spell Check, there now appears a red Exclamation Point and a downward pointing blue arrow. I have no spell check capability. Why?
Why is there a red exclamation point beside one of the emails that I had replied to, that's now in my Sent folder?
I know this is a are "duh" question but I'm wondering what a red exclamation point means next to an email?  It's by both one that came in and mine that was a reply.
Whenever I attempt to send an email with an attachment, I get the little yellow yield symbol with the exclamation point in it displayed in the lower right of the window.  This opens the error box which states " 5.2.3  Data Size Exceeds Maximun Permitted"

The attachments I send are often less than 1MB in size; it is a POP3 account; I have no access to the server.  Is there anything I can do, short of calling the ISP?
