When I try to log in to Hotmail, the browser gets into an endless loop of trying to sign on, but never does.  I have tried resetting Internet Explorer to original settings and deleting all of the browser history and all the cookies, but it still goes into an endless loop.  Can anybody help me?

Windows XP SP 3 Dell inspiron 530 desxtop Internet Explorer 8. Hot mail Plus with Live sign in and remember windows xp so dont send a link for windows 7 as moderaters have done in past.

I want to extract emails and save them on alternate drive. Nothing I do helps and the MS links are not germane to my screen images. Not being sour but I am given an answer to refer to link and proceed from start button and nothing looks like my system. I cant understand why this is so hard. Dont even tell me to start a new email account because thats just not working. There has to be someone who has a similar need so lets earn those points and give it a little thought becase numerous answers of the same advice have been ineffective. If there is no way to do it , as I think, just say so.

Several posts here refer to the Delete function appearing on the top menu bar when you select a contact or group of contacts. You then press delete and it brings up a confirmation box where you press delete again. But that doesn't appear on my browser (Internet Explorer 9). The closest I get is the 'Manage' drop down menu, which includes a function to restore deleted contacts, but not to delete existing contacts. Am I looking in the wrong place? Does my browser need to be reconfigured? Any advice?

Hi there....If I am on a site and I want to have a question answered via e-mail and the site says e-mail us @ the following address.....eg; *** Email address is removed for privacy ***

When I try to hit this address to submit my message....I get this messgae on my screen....Windows Internet Explorer - Could not perform this operation because the default mail client is not properly installed...?? How do I properly install this feature...??

Kind regards & Best wishes.....Tony Galvin

I would really like to have spell checking in Messenger. I have Windows Essentials 2012 installed on Windows 8, but it will not use the Windows 8 spell checker. The only Microsoft app to do so seems to be Internet Explorer.
I  am trying to create a new group under contacts. I followed the advice from Kathleen Collins: I went to the People window, to the toolbar at top, clocked on Manage, then on Manage groups. I was getting excited because so far, so good. After that , no plus+ sign appeared or rather, there is a + sign in a circle at the top (just to the left of "New", but it is greyed out and won't allow me to click on it. Maybe this is not the correct + sign anyway. What is wrong?  I use Firefox, maybe I need to use Explorer in order to do this? Thanks for any advice you can give. Now frustrated and getting desperate.

How do I prevent hotmail from remembering my e-mail address at https://login.live.com/login.srf?wa=wsignin1.0&rpsnv=11&ct=1344907631&rver=6.1.6206.0&wp=MBI&wreply=http:%2F%2Fco108w.col108.mail.live.com%2Fdefault.aspx&lc=4105&id=64855&mkt=en-ca&cbcxt=mai&snsc=1 ???

In my normal log in screen I am given options to remember the address or not.  How do I default" do not remember my address" in the above page?

Thank you for your attention & consideration.

A moderator has moved this thread from Internet Explorer Forum to Hotmail Sign-In and Sign-Up

When I first open my hotmail the emails won't open untill I refresh several times. I tried putting on a new Windows Live download but that didn't solve my problem. I also tried going to Internet Explorer 9 and that didn't help ether. The refresh I have to use is the Internet Explorer. The hotmail refresh won't help.

[Moved - Windows 7, IE9]

When I click on Hot Mail, sign-in page does not load. Dialogue bar reports an error. Dialogue reports 'currentStyle' is null or not an objeect.  This happened starting 7/24 and only when using Internet Explorer or Google Chrome.  Do not have problem signing-in using Firefox.
I keep getting this message.  Firefox can't find the server at sn101w.snt101.mail.live.com.  Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage   I cannot access my hotmail from this computer either through Windows or Firefox.  I can on my phone.  How do I fix?
