I have tried alot to switch my Facebook  chat as Online but it never has. The problem is not with my Gmail contacts.
I can switch my Gmail Chat to online or offline the many times i want but I am unable to do so with my facebook  chat.
The same problem I am facing in my Windows 8 phone (Nokia Lumia 520) and in the phone both the Facebook  as well  as Google contacts appear offline to me.
Kindly give me a working suggestion because I have already tried most of the suggestion related to this problem.

I am having issues enabling content from third party networks in Outlook.com

When in Settings, I click on Content from third party networks.

The systems shows that my Facebook and Twitter accounts are connected.

However, it tells me that "We couldn't find any public information for you on Facebook."

I have checked my privacy settings in both Facebook and Twitter and they are configured to allow look-up by email address. The settings on those services are exactly what is prescribed in the Outlook.com help documents.

Can you please help?

When creating a "new" rule, Outlook asks for sender information: "Select from the options below to determine which messages are affected."

I chose "Sender" and "contains".

Then, the instructions state: "Step 2: What action do you want to apply?"

From drop-down in "Move to Inbox" list, I finally discovered I could choose the Junk folder.

However, I can't figure out how to indicate exactly who it is that I want to affect. The process never offers an option to describe the Sender.

Previously, this function worked. I know, because I've already got five similar rules in there.

Now, I'm stuck at this point. There's nowhere to insert my "Facebook" entry or any other partial Sender's name. I want these messages to go back to the Junk folder again.

Hi I have a windows 8 mobile phone and have had it backed up to the SkyDrive. I have noticed that the messages received from FaceBook seem to stay on the messages even though I have deleted them off my facebook account. How can I clear them from my Skydrive? I see these messages when I am logged onto a PC

my mother has an account on Microsoft as well & she has been using it to sign in to Facebook. However, it's been more than a year that she never signed in to check her mailbox. Now that she tries to, there is a prompt that her account does not exist. Is there a possibility that her account has been deactivated by Microsoft? & if yes, then what should she do now?

Ever since the switchover from Hotmail to outlook, my outgoing mail shows a facebook picture that isn't mine. I actually don't even have a facebook account so I don't know how this picture was attached to my email. I've done lots of looking on this forum for answers and have tried all the suggested tips. I have tried to change my profile picture but the outgoing picture that email recipients see is still the incorrect facebook picture. I also tried to delete the facebook connection but there is no option to do this in the profile since I've never linked facebook to outlook/Hotmail (I never needed to link since I don't have a facebook account). I have also selected the option to not show third party content but that only changes the picture on my end and email recipients can still see this incorrect photo.

I haven't been sending emails from my outlook/Hotmail account for some time because I don't like that a picture that I cannot change is being sent for others to see. I would appreciate help on resolving this issue.

(This is a repost of the question I asked under the name "Larry5089". 'Johan_d' had responded with a private message but I was unable to access that account/message and had to create this new username. 'Johan_d'... if you are able to resend that private message to this account... I would appreciate it.)

I don't want outlook telling me what to do with my friends and facebook! Is that clearer? How to I turn off that feature?
