i have to set a password to my outlook folder and sub folder, how can i do it?
I have a bigpond email account and hotmail email account set up in windows live mail. Every email from the bigpond email account appears twice in unread emails and, once read, there is a copy in both email account folders. It does'nt appear tp happen to
hotmail emails where I only get 1 copy.
1) Problem: I confess to having blithely moved my "Microsoft User Data" files out of Documents to a place more friendly to the average uninformed user (the Applications folder as, at the time, it seemed like "program stuff", not "my stuff".
I lament my hastiness, repent, and plead your help).
- Looks like my Outlook data files are intact but the rebuilds, the common ways, are not working (Including the move of the database file to the desktop before trying the rebuild, per Diane of Oregon). Either way I do it, rebuild runs very fast (a few seconds, on a '08 MacBook Pro), and then tells me that rebuild was successful. But when I reopen Outlook, it's still the generic "fresh start" identity, not Main or mine.
- I am a simple non-Exchange/non-IMAP, POP3 email, "isolated user". I'm running "Office:Mac 2011 Academic".

accidentally deleted my email account. Trying to find settings in Microsoft User Data Folder, but don't know which folder to find them in?Office
I thought I deleted the account but when I tried to link and re-add the email, it said the account was already linked to me. Is there any way to restore the folder? I deleted it using the Windows Live Mail Application.
I had a live mail folder backed up on an external hard drive and the folder shows 20 emails; but after the import, there are only 14 showing. How do I get the other 6 to show? Note that the 6 "missing" emails are re: (i.e. reply) type of one of the showing
14 - only the last re: shows - even the original email in the chain isn't showing. Thanks for your help.
I got iCloud working in Outlook 2011 however a new folder "On my Computer" is showing under my inbox tree on the left side of the screen and I do not like it. How can I get rid of it? I found that the advice on this page helped the most.

I followed some advice on macrumors and it did not work so I found better advice elsewhere.
Also for some reason when I delete a email in Outlook it does not instantly delete the email in Mail like what mail does to Outlook. Mail seems to delete the emails right away and they vanish from Outlook in seconds. Perhaps no way around this? I use Outlook
90% of the time but on occasion I use Mail, however I find Outlook has more features and its Intel Native (unlike Entourage 2004) so its pretty fast under ML.
I have tried to find a solution to create a local/personal folder for my mails. I'm using IMAP account with outlook and my server space is running out.
For some reason I have not found a solution for this. When I have created a new folder the system does not ask or show where the folder is located and I can not get the properties open for the folder.
