My Outlook email this morning deleted all folders, inbox, everything that was on it for years. I need to retrieve that back. The Outlook initialized all again and even sent me a "welcoming email". This happened today 09/02/13 around 9:33 am PST. Now I have all my outlook with NOTHING. All my folders, sent email, several and several folders all gone. If his was part of a criminal investigation I am so sure it would be retrievable, I need to get this back. My life is there, business and everything.
My email is: *** Email address is removed for privacy ***
I felt so disrespect by Windows, that I am so sure to open an email account in another provider. SO DISRESPECTFUL! I need a solution, an answer, even if I have to bring this case to court.
Please help me, this is a disaster in my life, you guys could not do that.

Anxiously waiting for an answer.

In my Music folder in Libraries I have a folder called "Classical" and one called "Pop-Jazz" (among others). I copied both to my Skydrive folder, but it will only sync "Classical", not "Pop-Jazz". In Settings, if I select "choose which folders to sync", "Pop-Jazz" does not even appear in the list. All the properties of the two folders are identical (sharing, permissions, etc.) Why can't Skydrive see the other folder?
Hi,
I have moved on to Outlook, but I am now getting the message 'you have reached the maximum number of folders'.
I need to create more folders / subfolders, can anyone help, please?

Regards,
Chris
I had a folder that contained two sub-folders.  When I attempted to create a new sub-folder, Hotmail indicated I had run out of folders so I attempted to delete an old folder that I no longer needed and ended up also deleting a folder and sub-folders that I did need.

Didn't see anything in the forum that pertained specifically to this situation.  Is there any recovery mechanism?  Microsoft indicated I needed to post here to find out as their tech people didn't seem to have a recommendation.

I appreciate any help anyone can give me.

Allen
Hi,

Since Outlook started up I have found that you just cannot manage folders, create new ones & making them a sub-folder?

A microsoft customer advisor, just today told me this 'option' was removed when Outlook came into place.

Surely not, managing what you do, create and need, is essential to help file and juggle our everyday, personal lives is a must.

I very much look forward to hearing from anyone who has encountered this, really would love to hear from technical support with how to do this, as surely must be there (although I and the advisor I spoke to could not see anything for love nor money). Frustrating it is, more so that a fee is paid to subscribe to the service I receive, to have additional storage....storage, for files, emails, orders and what have you.....that I now can no longer file, sort and keep organisation of.

Kind regards for now,

Phillip
I've got around 10 top level folders; and one of these folders, I have around 70 subfolders, and 4 or 5 nested folders. When I try to create a new folder I receive a message saying: You've reached the maximum numbers of folders.

I'm moving my mails from Thunderbird and Gmail to Outlook and outlook.com and I need to have more folders.

Thanks for the answers

Best regards

Josep
I have my emails categorized into folders, but with my moblies devices (iPhone, iPad) all of the folders appear to be empty therefore making my email useless. Is this a known error or something that will be fixed soon? The folders show up on my devices, but they appear to be empty. The only way I can see them is if I log in on a PC...

I have shared a few of my own skydrive folders with my wife. When she clicks on the links in the original emails telling her of a new shared folder she is able to open my shared folders without issue.  IF she goes to her skydrive page and clicks on "Shared" she get's the following:

Sorry, something went wrong.

Please try again or refresh the page.

Needless to say trying again or refreshing the page does not help.  This happens on multiple machines.  My wife has also shared some of her folders with me in Skydrive and when I go to my "Shared" page, I can access those folders without issue.  We have the workaround of using the links originally sent in the original email lettering her know I shared a file with her, but this is far from ideal.

What can be done to resolve this?
