I can no longer managed folders in my hotmail account that has now become outlook. There use to be a button to the right of the folder link I could click on to get to managed folders. Now all I have is a partial circle with an arrow and no functions. Cynthia C.

Can't find one of my folders.  If I click on move to in email it shows folder but it is not in list of folders to open

Hello,

How do I delete folders that I created in my Hotmail inbox, as I no longer need them?   I've tried everything I can think of and nothing has worked.   Is it even possible to delete these folders?

Hi at 1810 GMT in UK on Wednesday 20th March 2013

I have two machines a Laptop Windows 7 Home Premium and a Aspire Netbook Windows 7 Starter.

I use my Laptop most and have added a lot of folders to my Laptop Windows Live Mail but they do not on my netbook when I open it

Is there a way of synchronising the Live Mail between the two machines so the same folders will be on both machines

Many Thanks

I hit the "Microsoft Database Daemon has encountered a problem and needs to close" error. Restored my files from TimeMachine, set default identity to the old folder and rebuilt the database when requested. Outlook launches but the folders on my computer are missing (yes the checkbox is set correctly in preferences). I can find filed email in Spotlight and even file new mail to the folders if I use the move command but cannot see them/open the folders. Help please.

I have so many worries from checking out the forum; am really quite worried about this new "upgrade".  I really don't understand why Microsoft just didn't leave well enough alone OR check things out further; it would seem that with all the concerns that an organization such as Microsoft would just go back to the old way!!  HOWEVER, BECAUSE I AM BEING FORCED TO UPGRADE I HAVE QUESTIONS....... Answer I received was not fully helpful nor made sense (not a techie here) and maybe that is because I didn't ask it clearly, so I am going to reword it and ask again. The previous answer was "shouldn't" however that definitely is not giving me assurance.

I have the old hotmail (which I do like very much!); I have my inbox, sent, etc. but I have also created about 15 folders (organization purposes for mails); when the AUTOMATIC/FORCED UPGRADE occurs - Am I going to lose all those folders and all the mail that is in each folder???

It appears from the forums that individuals are not getting all their mails or attachments so I am quite worried.

I have been trying to save attachments to each of these mails over the years, a monumental task, but I am so fearful that I will lose important documents attached to the emails.

The folders containing emails have disappeared. I had about 25 different folders containing important emails. They are gone. WHY?

I still have hotmail. I do not have or want outlook.

I can't find and icon next to FOLDERS to add a new folder.  It won't let me rename a folder.  How do I do it now.  Hope I finally get an answer to this.
