Original Title: sync icons are missing
New Skydrive for Mac user here. I downloaded and installed the software and put two folders in the Skydrive sync folder. I installed Skydrive on a second Mac and was able to see & download the two folders. The problem is that there is no indication which folders / sub-folders have been synced. Dropbox, Box and Google Docs all have a blue or green icon next to each folder and/or file name to indicate it has been sync'd. I uninstalled and re-installed Skydrive but the result is the same, the content is there, but no indication as to whether or not all the folders / sub-folders have been sync'd. I'm ready to punt and stick with the other cloud storage providers, but maybe someone has a suggestion to make Skydrive behave? thanks very much.
I opened Windows Live Mail and found all my folders missing, deleted items before today gone and nothing in the sent items folder. It appears that all the emails I had in my specific folders were moved back to the Inbox and I can still open them. Of course without the specific folders all the message rules are also missing the specified folder and will not work until fixed. I noticed automatic compacting took place when I last closed WLM.
I have now unchecked the box for compacting. However, I do not understand why compacting would delete my folders. Does anyone know why? Also is compacting designed to automatically delete and remove everything in the sent and delete folders?
Finally, does WLM have a recovery method to return me to the point immediately before compacting? Sure would save me a lot of time.
