plus how do i get the folders that i already moved out of being sub folders?
I had a ton of emails in local folders in Outlook 2011 (latest updates, Mac OS 10.6.8). I now still see the folders, but they seem to be empty - Outlook shows them as as if they had no contents. Since the Identity folder is 16 Gig in size, I think the info is still there somehow - how do I get my local folders and their contents back??
New Skydrive for Mac user here.  I downloaded and installed the software and put two folders in the Skydrive sync folder.  I installed Skydrive on a second Mac and was able to see & download the two folders.  The problem is that there is no indication which folders / sub-folders have been synced.  Dropbox, Box and Google Docs all have a blue or green icon next to each folder and/or file name to indicate it has been sync'd.  I uninstalled and re-installed Skydrive but the result is the same, the content is there, but no indication as to whether or not all the folders / sub-folders have been sync'd.  I'm ready to punt and stick with the other cloud storage providers, but maybe someone has a suggestion to make Skydrive behave?  thanks very much.

My "Quick Views" lists some of my folders which are not under the main "Folders" List. I definitely created them, but I don't know how these folders got under the Quick View. I thought I can see the messages in the "Quick Views" and move them to the main "Folders" list. When I click any of the folders under "Quick Views", there are no email messages in any of the folders. How is that possible? I know that there must be several messages in those folders. How do I see those messages and move them to the main "Folders" list. Please help me. Thank you.
Outlook 2011 - Working in emails and associated folders most of the day. Went to grab a bite to eat, came back and restarted Outlook. All folders and emails had disappeared from the windows. Have tried a few things to no avail, really need to get this stuff back as am in a frantic race for client in getting things for them finished. HELP!
When I connect to Skydrive in my browser (IE10, Win8) it initially only shows only two of my folders. I have to click on all photos and then back to the skydrive root before all my folders show up. Any ideas why?
I have some personal email folders at my work account (Office 2013) that I'd like to copy over to my newly added Outlook.com email, in hopes of separating my personal email items from work without losing the history of the emails.  I know how to save the desired folders as a pst. data file, but I don't see where I can import the file into my Outlook.com account.  Is this even possible?

I opened Windows Live Mail and found all my folders missing, deleted items before today gone and nothing in the sent items folder.  It appears that all the emails I had in my specific folders were moved back to the Inbox and I can still open them.  Of course without the specific folders all the message rules are also missing the specified folder and will not work until fixed.  I noticed automatic compacting took place when I last closed WLM.

I have now unchecked the box for compacting.  However, I do not understand why compacting would delete my folders.  Does anyone know why?  Also is compacting designed to automatically delete and remove everything in the sent and delete folders?

Finally, does WLM have a recovery method to return me to the point immediately before compacting?  Sure would save me a lot of time.

Hi. I created a new account under outlook, as I got the email address I wanted (very excited!!!). My hotmail has so much spam, so I don't want to link the two as aliases - but just transfer my folders across and then cancel the hotmail account. How can I transfer these folders across from an old hotmail address to my new outlook address (usernames are different).
I am sure it is possible, just need help in doing it - I have tried! THANK YOU
