Hello,

In order to forward email I get from my Gmail inbox straight to my Outlook box, I followed the directions here:

However, I am still not receiving my Gmail in my Outlook inbox. Would this have anything to do with the fact that I originally created this MS account using my Gmail, then switched my primary alias to an Outlook alias? Should I delete my Gmail from my Outlook aliases?

Thank you for any assistance you can provide.
I am getting this error using an email aggregator.   The application is called Iqtell (www.iqtell.com) and I use it because it allows me to see all my different mail accounts in one place.  However, for my hotmail account I cannot send email.  It keeps giving me this error message.  All my other accounts work fine: yahoo, aol, exchange, gmail, and apple.  Its only hotmail that doesn't work.

"535 5.2.1 Login to your account via a web browser to verify your account."

I have tried to login as suggested by the error message and see if that verifies me but it doesn't.  Are you expecting me to login to the hotmail.com web page on the email aggregator servers?   That is impossible since I don't have access to them or own them.  They are a third party application.   I also contacted iqtell support and they said the servers are linux terminal servers with no gui.  So its impossible to reach the hotmail webpage from their servers.

Should I switch to using Gmail?  I have no problem with gmail and it supports IMAP.
I've looked through the forums but can't find anything. I'm not receiving any emails from any account that uses gmail. It makes no difference if the account ends in @gmail.com or is hosted by gmail (i.e. my university email that ends in ******.edu). I do receive gmail emails on a separate windows outlook.com email address that I have.

All the senders are in the safe sender list.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks so much
I changed my brothers xbox live to his gmail. he was using my hotmail address and after i switched it to his gmail my hotmail says its been deleted. I cannot get ahold of microsoft either....can i get it back?
Hi, it was said that google and yahoo quited PR China, does gmail and ymail can still be received by Chinese? How about hotmail(outlook mail)?

Hello

Weeks ago, I decided to change to gmail because I thought that Outlook.com had become very slow to use.  I created an account and transferred my emails across using online guidance.  I setup a forwarding to gmail within my Outlook.com

I then realized I would have to change my email address on many different sources and actually this would not be worth it, so I transferred my mails back to outlook.com and put a forwarding address in gmail

I now have a VERY confusing outlook.com account which is making me regret ever doing this

- My emails are in a POP folder instead of my inbox

- New emails are going to my inbox AND the POP folder

- I now get multiple copies of new emails

I have tried to correct this but have failed to to do and I do not understand lots of the settings anyway.  If I cannot correct this, then I want to know how I can reset my account and start again with an empty mailbox (I have no contacts or other information I want to save)

Regards

Hi,

I've created a IMAP account for Gmail in MS outlook and wish to use the same with the following customisation:

1. Map the send and delivery to a specific PST file (rather than the most recent auto-generated one)

2. Move/ copy or create a fresh set of Contacts, journal, claendar, tasks, feeds and all supplementary folders/ features associated with MS outlook to this Gmail account.

3. On the navigation pane, set/ move the Gmail PST as the primary folder list

4. Close the default Outlook PST file after completing the above.

I tried the existing help feature in MS outlook, however, some of these have not been addressed.

Could you please help with the above.

Many thanks and with regards,
