Having followed all the instructions to send mine & my wifes emails from Gmail to Outlook.com - we've had no success - can anyone please advise?  Ideally would like to have two separate Outlook addresses like used to be able to do on Outlook with previous windows.
Is it posible to sign up for different addresses? For example I have 9 gmail addresses that I used for different groups and purposes?  I dislike the new gmail format forced on gmail users to the point where I am now shopping for a new email.

This is the reason I moved to Gmail few years ago. I am very happy with the new features on Outlook.com but when I tried searching something, it is terrible for me. It takes at least 12 to 14 seconds to complete a search. When I browse to second page of search results again I need almost 10 seconds. I am not sure if it's only happening to me or everyone else?

My account have around 25k emails tranferred from Gmail through POP. The account size is around 2.5GB. I don't want to move back to Gmail but I need a solution to make the search faster like Gmail. Otherwise there is no point staying here. This is a major killer for outlook.

Any suggestions??
My xbox email was a @gmail, I changed it to a @live email, and its been days and I am still getting emails on the @gmail and also, I sign into my gamertag with my new email instead of the @gmail I have tried switching to a new email and back and also does not work :(
Hi

I have added my Gmail to Outlook.com, so I can send on "behalf of", and copied all my old Gmails through Windows Live Mail.
But now, all my old mails from Gmail are marked with a yellow sign in which I have to click on trusted sender to see pictures in mails.

Can I remove this sign in any way, so I can see photos in my old Gmails?

Thanks in advance.

I planned to switch from Gmail to Outlook.com. I primarily use Gmail configured in MS Outlook using IMAP.

I was able to sync with MS Outlook 2010: I downloaded Hotmail connector and added Outlook.com account in MS Office 2010. Dragged emails from Gmail IMAP to Outlook.com. (This I did for my friend who was still using MS Outlook 2010).

Unable to do the same with MS Outlook 2013: Since MS Outlook 2013 connects to Outlook.com without Hotmail Connector using ActiveSync mode, I was more than happy to switch away from IMAP. And to my surprize, I cannot do any of the following things

- Cannot drag and drop emails from any other MS Outlook 2013 folder to Outlook.com folders. It says - "Cannot move the items. The folders you are trying to change do not support this operation. Sorry, Exchange ActiveSync doesn't support what you're trying to do".

- Then I took backup of IMAP Inbox as .pst file and tried to restore. It said - "Could not complete the operation because the service provider does not support it"

I can install MS Office 2010 in VMWare and use Hotmail connector to sync my Gmail emails to Outlook.com and then start using MS Outlook 2013 in ActiveSync mode. But my concern is what if in future I have to move contents between different Outlook.com accounts and what if then Hotmail Connector stops working.

Btw, I am habituated moving contents, backup/restore with my office Exchange (2007) email accounts. Unable to do so with Outlook.com is not making me feel confident to move to Outlook.com

So my question is - Should I move to Outlook.com from Gmail IMAP or wait for Outlook.com to mature?
