Hello there,
I am trying to COPY emails from gmail.com to outlook.com. Microsoft articles that I've found say to use "Trueswitch," but the link given, as well as going to "trueswitch.com" results in an error message indicating that the service has gone offline.
I know that gmail has a built-in way to migrate messages from one account to gmail; I was wondering if outlook.com had this or if there was another way to get the messages from gmail.com to outlook.com.
Thanks!
- I would like to delete the MS account linked to my university email, and forward all emails going into here into my gmail MS account. But, if I delete my university MS account, will this delete my entire inbox? Won't I be able to access this inbox via the Office 365 log-in page, even if I delete the university MS account?
- How can I transfer my SkyDrive information from my university account to my gmail MS account? It appears that I can switch my Xbox information from one MS account to another with ease, but can I do this with my Skydrive information?
I have tried alot to switch my Facebook chat as Online but it never has. The problem is not with my Gmail contacts.
I can switch my Gmail Chat to online or offline the many times i want but I am unable to do so with my facebook chat.
The same problem I am facing in my Windows 8 phone (Nokia Lumia 520) and in the phone both the Facebook as well as Google contacts appear offline to me.
Kindly give me a working suggestion because I have already tried most of the suggestion related to this problem.
1) I want to send mails from gmail id itself. In other words, I want people to see that they received the message from that gmail id, though I send it from outlook. The same holds true with my school email id, people should see that the mail has come from my school email id.
I have set up autoforwarding in both the accounts, so I can receive mails from them. But if I send mails, my outlook email id comes in the "from" address, something which I want to change.
PS-My gmail id had a easy option to switch email accounts while sending emails.
PPS-I have added my gmail account in "Reply to-address" but it doesnt help.
2) Importing old mails from gmail. I dont know why you decided to leave your "trueswitch" application but now how do i move all my previous mails to my outlook mailbox.
Gmail is unable to login via SMTP to send emails. (Trying to SEND emails from GMAIL)
When setting up Outgoing (SMTP) Server, I am using the following information:
• Server address: smtp.live.com
• Port: 25 (or 587 if 25 is blocked)
• Authentication: Yes
• TLS or SSL Secure Encrypted Connection: Yes
getting this response: Authentication failed. Please check your username/password.
[Server response: 535 5.2.1 Login to your account via a web browser to verify your account. code(535) ]Please include me in answers to this problem - forwarded mail from my personal domain can be received by my other accounts (gmail) but not by outlook.com.
It is nothing to do with filters / rules etc as I have none set.
Junk filter is set to standard.
I have added the relevant address to my safe senders and removed it from my blocked list (although the list was empty) and still it does not work.
By "bad", I mean that it looks like line spacing is double in Outlook.com.
Information about the signature:
It is written in HTML with tables. Logo on left side, contact information on the right. It looks fine when opening the HTML-file from "C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Signatures" in IE and Google chrome.
We tested ourselves by sending mails to an @gmail and @hotmail address. Then we checked the mails in outlook.com and gmail.com in internet explorer and google chrome.
It looks fine in gmail.com in both Internet Explorer and google chrome, but it looks bad in outlook.com in both browsers. The signature looks fine in Outlook 2010 and Outlook 2003.
