For some reason when I reaceive messsages from my gmail account two or three copies of that email are posted in my "Quick view" Unread Emails window. Only one is posted in my actual gmail account folder. Any clue as to how I can fix this?
I am a paying subscriber to Hotmail Plus. I've had the account since 2008.
Today I went to check for an email back in 2010 only to realize that all emails before May 2011 no longer existed.
Where did they go and why?
This is a paid for service... not just some free Yahoo/Gmail account. Therefore only a year worth of email storage is unacceptable.
Please retrieve them or I will be forced to find another email service.

Because of an identity corruption problem, I had to create a brand new identity and re-synch all my mail with my IMAP Gmail accounts. This all seemed to download fine, but on further examination, only the headers in Sent mail have been downloaded. None
of the messages are there. If I click on a message header, it says Downloading .... and downloads the message. So the data's there on the gmail server. (I confirmed this by looking at the gmail account through a browser). But I'm looking for a way to force
it to download all the sent mail because unless it's been downloaded, it can't be searched. Additionally, I can't tell if there was an attachment until the message has been downloaded.
Under Tools/Accounts - Advanced/Folders, I saw that the radio button for "don't save a copy of sent messages" was selected. Why, I have no idea - perhaps that's the default for a new IMAP account? In any event, I changed it to "Store sent messages in this folder" and selected Sent Items (Server). It now seems to be saving sent mail there.
My question is, how do I get it to download all the prior sent mail (not just the headers)? I tried Synchronize Now, and that didn't work.

Could you please tell me if it is possible to import all emails (including old emails) from Gmail to Hotmail? I tried to import them but it looks like only new emails are getting imported.
Can someone make it simple instead of so complicated. How do I mirror what I do in Mac outlook 2011 and my gmail account with the same folders.
I have Outlook 2011 setup to use my Gmail IMAP account. I've made [GMAIL] the root and everything works fine except the following:
The Spam and Drafts folder always show a "unread" count by the folder name, even though the messages in that folder are marked read. Is there any way to fix this, it's kind of annoying.
Thanks in advance.

I'm working from home for several weeks. Remote access to Exchange server not available, so the server auto-forwards all email to my Gmail account.
But I obviously want replies and outbound business messages to show my work address, not Gmail, for several reasons, including:
- If the emails go via work, copies will sit on the Exchange server for access later and archive
- Not everyone knows I'm working from home, and want to keep it that way
- Don't want every Tom, Dick or Harriet selling stuff to know my Gmail address.
I can do this on PC 2010, and can do it in raw Gmail but can't see how to do it on Outlook Mac 2011 which is my preferred email client.
Please help
