My online version of outlook (which is the one I'm hoping to use) doesn't show any of these contacts.
Thoughts?
I tried creating a csv from gmail. Imported it. My desktop version of outlook says I have all contacts BUT half of them are blank - no name, no information... nothing.
I exported my gmail calendar to an ics file. I imported to outlook and the only that shows up are the google events I had marked as recurring. Non of the other events came through.
Thoughts?

When I click an email link on a web page, I want to use GMAIL. All the directions I can find deal with integrating MS Mail so it remains the default email program but integrates GMAIL. I want to call up GMAIL directly

Hi, I am really new to windows 8. Apparently I accidentally created an account using my Gmail account and it seems that my hotmail is unable to connect to my gmail account. I cannot delete that gmail account as there are many files inside. Possible to
combine both accounts together for ease of access?

Your advertising campaign against Gmail is compelling and thought provoking but the reality is Gmail works very well and Outlook.com does not. I have two problems. Firstly, emails do not arrive. I own a domain and my primary email address forwards email to outlook.com. This did work OK but now does not. In common with other people people's complaints, it is not in junk and there is no bounce back message. I've tested this numerous times and know that emails do not get through as I also have the same emails forwarded to Gmail.
Secondly, I've set up an alias, which will be my primary address. This is a non outlook.com email address but why does it come up with the name line as something like 'livemailassdjdjdjc4555558856638.655566 on behalf of..' and how do I change it?
I want an alternative to Gmail for all the reasons you provide but outlook.com does not appear up to the task.

Hi...i just changed from gmail to my hotmail address. I had all my gmail emails forwarded to hotmail. I received 2-4 copies of each email. Now i have approximately 2000 emails and it is tedious to say the least to clean them up. Any ideas on how to delete
duplicate emails? I even get new hotmail emails duplicated. HELP...thanks
I am trying to pop my emails from gmail to outlook.com.
Some emails in gmail were poped from somewhere else, long time ago, from the original mailbox.
Now outlook.com maillist showes the day when these emails were poped from the original to gmail, or something like that, but definitely the original date/time when they were sent by senders or received.
I never saw such a problem when using other pops.
