When I insert large pictures (ex 600x3600 this morning), outlook.com automatically shrinks them down to an almost icon size!! Why does it do that? I just had to go back and send the email with the image through Gmail because outlook automatically resizes
images to a ridiculous blurry size. I can manually resize it (by dragging or selecting a preset % from the right click menu), so why do you automatically resize it?? Even when I click on Original Size it doesn't change that. When I sent it through Gmail, I
inserted it inline and it looked like it should -> actual size. How can I disable this very very unhelpful auto resizing?
I am perfectly happy with my existing Gmail calendar etc and do not want to import it to Microsoft calendar and use that. How do I sync my existing accounts without having to link to a Microsoft account. Same question arises for my existing Gmail calendar,
Facebook account, Skype account. Am close to uninstalling Windows 8 . Very unhappy with it.
When I start up Windows Live mail, it loads up any new emails that I have received, then it goes on to restore all of the old emails that I have deleted over the last six months from my Gmail account. I have deleted these old emails countless times, but
they keep coming back! It has become a major nuisance. It seems to happen most often whenever the Gmail account is highlighted, meaning that I must've been in that account when Windows Live Mail was closed last time. (I hope this makes sense.)
exactly as in the title. a month ago or so, gmail friends stopped receiving my invitations to events set up in the calendar (web interface).
however they do receive cancellation.
i know you're at war with ggl, but come on... outlook.com became a never-ending beta experience for me. on every front.
Hello
I have had a hotmail.com address for about 15 years, but haven't checked it recently, perhaps for a year or more. I have a feeling it was shut down due to inactivity and/or outlook changeover. It has been my backup account with GMail for the last several years, and I recently received a message from GMail saying the hotmail address was invalid, which was my first indication that something was amiss.
Microsoft Customer Support wrote: I was able to verify that your account does not exist in our database.
When I explained to Customer support that I was referring to a potentially terminated email account, they suggested I post to this forum.
Is there something that can be done to restore the account? I'm thinking there must be some sort of backup -- seems pretty irresponsible to delete someone's email account permanently, especially since I've been with hotmail for 15+ years.
Thanks for any help!

Hello,
I dislike the way, WLM sets the folders tree for the gmail account.
Instead of having of standard structure such as:
Account
=====
>Inbox
>Drafts
>Sent items
>Junk email
>Deleted items
gmail account has structure:
Account
=====
>Inbox
>[Gmail]
>>All Mail
>>Drafts
>>Important
>>Sent Mail
>>Spam
>>Starred
>>Trash
>Personal
>Receipts
>Travel
>Work
I would like to have all those subfolders placed under [Gmail] folder (marked >> above) to appear under Account and get rid off [Gmail] folder.
How to do that?
Thanks,
/jas
I originally had a hotmail address which was being used to login to my account. And I had all of my work, uni and Gmail emails imported into this account.
I now use my Gmail address for signing up to everything and when I got a new Windows 8 laptop I used this Gmail address to sign up for a Microsoft account. Now, when I login to Outlook using the Gmail address it has none of my previous mail, nor does it receive any mail and I can't add the hotmail address as an alias, it won't let me.
In my original hotmail account I can't add the Gmail as an alias because that email address is already taken (by me).
How do I merge the two, I basically just want to login to Outlook using my new Microsoft account, (under the Gmail address), and import all emails into this the usual way (and never have to login using my hotmail)

Hello,
I used to have two live accounts. One which used my personal gmail emaill address as the user ID and one that used my work email as my user id. I have closed the live account associated with my gmail email address, and I am trying to add my gmail address
as an alias on the account which was setup under my work email address. I cannot get live to accept my gmail address and it insists it is already in use even though I closed that live account. I want ultimately change the primary user ID for the account
created with my work email to my gmail email address. I have tried to submit a formal support request to MS, but none of the links for that seem to be working.
Any thoughts on how I can get this cleaned up. I really want to retain the live account tied to my work email since I have a great deal of personal stuff tied to it. I no longer work for the same company is the other reason I want to change the primary
userID to my gmail email address.
Thx
Bryan
Hello.
I have a Business Google Account and I use Outlook 2013 as e-mail server on Windows 8.
The outlook worked properly during 2 months. Since last Wednesday, Outlook stopped receiving e-mails BUT synchronize old messages. As I have deleted Gmail account from outlook and re-setup it, Outlook synchronize all the old messages but stops on Wednesday
messages.
My gmail account works well on gmail mobile app and on web. I have configured gmail properly, allowing IMAP.
Can you please help me?
Tx.,
Augusto
