When I insert large pictures (ex 600x3600 this morning), outlook.com automatically shrinks them down to an almost icon size!! Why does it do that? I just had to go back and send the email with the image through Gmail because outlook automatically resizes images to a ridiculous blurry size. I can manually resize it (by dragging or selecting a preset % from the right click menu), so why do you automatically resize it?? Even when I click on Original Size it doesn't change that. When I sent it through Gmail, I inserted it inline and it looked like it should -> actual size. How can I disable this very very unhelpful auto resizing?
When I start up Windows Live mail, it loads up any new emails that I have received, then it goes on to restore all of the old emails that I have deleted over the last six months from my Gmail account. I have deleted these old emails countless times, but they keep coming back! It has become a major nuisance. It seems to happen most often whenever the Gmail account is highlighted, meaning that I must've been in that account when Windows Live Mail was closed last time. (I hope this makes sense.)
exactly as in the title. a month ago or so, gmail friends stopped receiving my invitations to events set up in the calendar (web interface).
however they do receive cancellation.

i know you're at war with ggl, but come on... outlook.com became a never-ending beta experience for me. on every front.

Hello,

I dislike the way, WLM sets the folders tree for the gmail account.

Instead of having of standard structure such as:

Account

=====

>Inbox

>Drafts

>Sent items

>Junk email

>Deleted items

gmail account has structure:

Account

=====

>Inbox

>[Gmail]

>>All Mail

>>Drafts

>>Important

>>Sent Mail

>>Spam

>>Starred

>>Trash

>Personal

>Receipts

>Travel

>Work

I would like to have all those subfolders placed under [Gmail] folder (marked >> above) to appear under Account and get rid off [Gmail] folder.

How to do that?

Thanks,

/jas

I originally had a hotmail address which was being used to login to my account. And I had all of my work, uni and Gmail emails imported into this account.

I now use my Gmail address for signing up to everything and when I got a new Windows 8 laptop I used this Gmail address to sign up for a Microsoft account. Now, when I login to Outlook using the Gmail address it has none of my previous mail, nor does it receive any mail and I can't add the hotmail address as an alias, it won't let me.

In my original hotmail account I can't add the Gmail as an alias because  that email address is already taken (by me).

How do I merge the two, I basically just want to login to Outlook using my new Microsoft account, (under the Gmail address), and import all emails into this the usual way (and never have to login using my hotmail)
Hi
I have been trying to send emails via Outlook to my various gMail accounts but many of the messages are not arriving. They are all shown as sent in Outlook.
I have more than one gMail account - a main one & 2 or 3 others. These others are set up in gMail to automatically forward messages to my main account & these are the messages that are not appearing.
Any messages sent to my main gMail account are appearing in that main account but messages sent to my other accounts are not showing up. This forwarding system works fine for all other email providers (I have asked friends to test it out for me) but not for Outlook.
Please excuse the garbled message but I hope some one can help
Cheers
