I'm using Google apps Gmail (IMSAP) with Outlook 2011 on my MAC.

Yesterday, I've noticed that Gmail accounts going through Goggles IMAP (google apps) servers ....the email coming into my inbox isn't downloading... at the bottom right corner of inbox it shows "downloading... 1/19" for example.... but nothing downloads. It seems to be stuck.

See the screenshot below... look at the bottom right corner. You can see "downloading" and the download bar... but it won't download... it stays like that for hours.

When I access those email accounts using web Gmail, the emails are there. They are just not downloading into my OUTLOOK.

Other GMail accounts that are normal (non-corporate) gmail accounts such as *** Email address is removed for privacy *** download perfectly.

I've archived messages to reduce the size of my inbox, I've rebooted router, restarted IMAC... nothing seems to help.

This just started yesterday. Before that, everything was OK. This problem is only on my office IMAC. At home, running same configuration, my IMAC outlook 2011 is just fine!!

I have NO filters set up to screen emails...what's going on?

Hi there! My first time here.

I'm migrating my email to outlook.com from google apps.  I followed the steps to prove the ownership of my domain but until now its not yet verified.

I created a MX record with the Outlook.com value.
I created a TXT record with value.
I asked to my register help me with this.

I checked with nslookup and I think my domain is showing a correct record.

I can send to you a screenshot of the page with my settings.

register: hover
domain: leonardodomingues.com

Please help me.

Microsoft,

Would like to thank you for giving us this very nice alternative to using Google Apps ( I came from there ). While it will need some polishing, I think this is a great start.

I do notice that I cannot do a password reset on any of the accounts that I have created under the administrator panel. Do you think you can give me that capability?

Also, since I want my domain to be used often, I would like to offer the open membership to more people, as this will be a non-profit feature of my domain name. Would it be possible to increase the number of accounts that I can create higher than 50? Moving to O365 is not an option, and defeats the purpose of offering the free e-mail address!

My information is below:

Domain:
Nguyen.mobi

Use:
Free use of Nguyen.mobi e-mail address through outlook.

Feel free to contact me if needed!

Hello,

I've posted this in the Dutch section first but I didn't get a response so I'll try it in the English section.
One of your clients is using google apps for a few months now.
Everything is working okay  expect that we have allot of problems with mails sent from hotmail.
These mails are sent back to the sender without any error what so ever.

They only get (for example).

This is an automatically generated Delivery Status Notification.

Delivery to the following recipients failed.

*** Email address is removed for privacy ***

I've opened about 5 calls with google over the last couple of months and sofar without any sollution at all.
During this call google stated that they can't find the error at their end as it's going wrong at outlook/hotmails ends.

I really hope someone can help me with this problem or if someone knows how to contact the outlook.com support.
Because I now get about 5 questions per day why people sending mails from hotmail are getting them back.

Thanks you in advance.

Eric
i would like to migrate from google apps to outlook.com for my primary domain (call it primary.com)
frankly i find the constant new stuff on google just too much and i don't use 90% of it
i love the simplicity of outlook.com

i can work my way through setting up outlook.com with my own domain, no problem

but i currently have 3 outlook email address, 1 primary and 2 aliases (under the primary)
call them *** Email address is removed for privacy *** and *** Email address is removed for privacy *** and *** Email address is removed for privacy ***

i would like to end up with my own domain as my primary outlook.com address and then have my current *** Email address is removed for privacy *** as an alias and keep one of the other 2 current aliases (i would delete one)

so i would like to have

primary.com as my main address
*** Email address is removed for privacy *** as an alias
*** Email address is removed for privacy *** as a second alias

obviously all seen with a single sign on in a single account

if this makes sense, can anyone kindly tell me if this is doable
i guess i could try but i just don't want to fiddle with all my mail records until i have a sense if it possible

thanks!

I own two separate domains, one that I use for personal stuff and another that I use for work, let's call them home.com and work.com. Until a couple of days ago I had these both setup for mail using Google Apps and used the multiple account sign-in feature to access both at once.

Seeing as I recently migrated to a Windows Phone I figured I'd give outlook.com a try and setup work.com as a custom domain under my existing Live ID, which is attached to my home.com address. Fine, that worked, it then asked me to setup a new work.com user to create an email address. I did that and started using the account. All well and good.

The next day I needed to sign in to my home.com account to redeem a code for Xbox Live, and this is where I found that it was impossible to login to the two accounts at once, and I would need to sign out of my work.com account first. Delving deeper I discovered that this feature was recently removed in favour of email aliases. No problem, I thought, and once I'd signed into my home.com account I tried to add a work.com alias.

"You can't add an alias with the domain work.com. Try an email address that has a different domain."

Further digging leads me to believe that this is because work.com has been setup as a custom domain, and even though this account is the very same account that created the custom domain, it can no longer be used for aliases.

So my question is: How can I undo this situation so that I can create a work.com alias for my home.com account, yet still send and receive emails to and from the work.com address without it adding "on behalf of" or anything similar to my emails?

If it can't be done then I guess I'll have no choice but to return to Google...

Thanks for any help.
I am thinking of leaving GMail and Google Apps for Domains and moving all my email accounts into Outlook.com, as I have been impressed with the service and the speed with which features are added (like IMAP).

That said, I have an old Hotmail account with several outlook.com aliases and a new Outlook.com account with several aliases. I can not give any of these up and I need them all to be merged into one account. Google has a feature like this but I cannot find it on MSFT and it seems like it does not exist. Is there a way an admin can merge them?

I created a new Outlook.com account accidentally because during the goldrush for Outlook.com names Microsoft was not clear that we would not need to make a new account, so I (like many others) now sit here with two separate accounts.

Please help!

Hello,

I've been using Google Apps for emails for my custom domain. Now with recent changes in Outlook.com I'm highly impressed with their new email service & would like to move to Outlook. I'm not looking for premium Office 365 email options. I'm investigating option for managing my domain using Windows Live at domains.live.com but my concern is moving my old data.

How would I move my old emails to Outlook.com server? (currently i'm using Google Apps for Business)

Thank you.
