They are stating that my account will be deactivated within the next 24 hours due to several unsuccessful login attemps on my account.Told to prevent this to happen by a login to 'our' activation link below:

https://login.hotmail.com/config/login_verify2?puser=*** Email address is removed for privacy ***%

Why is this happening, and why will my account be "deactivated within the next 24 hours due to several unsuccessful login attemps on your account?"
