Unable to remove a single contact from my contact list in Outlook 2011

trying to remove one address from my contacts, seems to be impossible to do. I use a mac computer & have a friend who moved away, fail to see why this would be hard to do at all.(heeeeelp)

Hotmail has just lost about 6 e -mails that were sitting in my in box waiting for replies……heeeeelp!!!! please how can I get them back??

See above title, I need to recover about 6 e-mails in my in box that hotmail seems to have successfully lost, one minute they were there and the next I'm being told "wow you've got a clean in box" I didn't delete them as they were all waiting for replies, how can I retrieve them???? please help!!
