Beginning this morning, my mail screen layout (home page once I am logged in) is completely different when I log in. I can not open any of my folders and I can not scroll down the page. I can tell I have new emails in my inbox and my junk file, but I
am unable to open anything. It is as if the page is frozen, and it appears as if part of another page is over laid on this "new" home page. I am in the middle of a job search, and I rely heavily on email. Please help!!!
for several days now, both on my laptop at home and on other peoples machines, elsewhere in the area, i have found it almost impossible to use hotmail. It seems that every time i try to carry out a task, whether it is opening an email or sending one, i
lose connection with hotmail-- including losing the email i have just typed. sometimes i get a very small window of opportunity and i think "maybe its fixed now" and as soon as i do that the connectivity goes again.
I have carried out all the suggestions i have seen in the forum for clearing and cleaning the machine and its history, i have signed in using various browsersand nothing has restored hotmail to its previously trouble free performance.
is this a local issue ? it cannot be merely my laptop as it has happened on other machines i have tried.or is it possible that my account is corrupted in some way ?
i would rather keep the account that i have for a range of reasons but is this loss of connectivity going ot be a constant problem from now on?
i have just remembered something which may be relevant. i have btinternet plus security and a recent mcaffee update made it impossible for me to get onto the internet. so the internet plus security had to be uninstalled ( i still have the Mcaffee though) . this problem with hotmail seems to have started round about that time. might there be a link do you think?

Upgrade to Outlook
Trying to upgrade Office:Mac 2011 for Home & Student to include Outlook. "Purchase Options" under W/E/PP file is no longer there. How can I upgrade to include Outlook without the "Purchase Options" tab no longer there?I recently received an email that was in my junk mail supposedly from Microsoft stating I needed to sign a new agreement to keep my hotmail account and other services from Microsoft. It needed information such as my home address, phone number. It also stated if I did not sign the agreement I would lose all microsoft products. I don't know if this is a scam but it sounded suspicious to me. Did Microsoft send out a document to all users. I can cut and paste it here if you want me to. Thank you.

I have Office Home & Student, I installed after using the trial version. Now every time I open Word, Excel or Powerpoint I get the "There is a problem with the Office Database". I already tried the rebuild instruction to no avail and I don`t have Outlook.
I`m up to date to version 14.2.3. Looking for a way to get rid of this message.
Got the home/student version of Office 2011. Apparently it needs a separate product id. Where do you get it? Surely you don't have to buy the professional version. Why have it included if it can't be used.
