I have a friend that writes me somewhat infrequently. They answer through their blackberry phone from work, or their own personal cell, and I'm not sure what type it is, but it's on the Verizon network. This is what I see in my inbox: "hotmail". This
friends e-mail comes through as "hotmail" in the inbox, but, in his messages it uses his hotmail account address. Why won't it list his hotmail address or other email address like the others in my inbox?
Hi I want to close my Hotmail address as to not receive any further emails via it, but want to keep all the messages (heaps!) in the folders on this address. Is there a way I can transfer them to another email address in bulk, huge job one by one. Help?
Can you give me step by step instructions how to do please.
Hello,
Can you help me? This afternoon I noticed I wasn't getting certain emails from sellers on ebay. So I have sent 2 test emails from my gmail account to my hotmail account and they haven't come through. I also tried sending an email from my Hotmail address
to my Hotmail address and I didn't receive that either. I have only had 1 email come through in 7 hours which is unusual. That was a notification email from ebay. I should have received several emails regarding purchases from other websites also.
I use internet explorer mainly to view my emails but also have access through Outlook 2010 and my HTC Android smartphone. They all show the same thing.
I haven't knowingly changed anything and I can't see a problem with any of my settings.
I sent an email to my gmail account and I received it ok but the reply I sent back never arrived.
hello,
I've gone off my email provider and want to change it so I thought I'd try a hotmail address. I go to hotmail.com, but the only thing that comes up is the outlook page which I don't want. It has my current unwanted email address at the top right. All I want
is a hotmail address but it seems something's preventing me from getting one. What on earth am I doing wrong? Any advice to stop me going mad would be appreciated. All the best, Sel
P.S. I have never had a hotmail account before.
P.P.S. I've just read something that makes me think hotmail doesn't exist anymore? Well I never!

Hello
I have had a hotmail.com address for about 15 years, but haven't checked it recently, perhaps for a year or more. I have a feeling it was shut down due to inactivity and/or outlook changeover. It has been my backup account with GMail for the last several
years, and I recently received a message from GMail saying the hotmail address was invalid, which was my first indication that something was amiss.
Microsoft Customer Support wrote: I was able to verify that your account does not exist in our database.
When I explained to Customer support that I was referring to a potentially terminated email account, they suggested I post to this forum.
Is there something that can be done to restore the account? I'm thinking there must be some sort of backup -- seems pretty irresponsible to delete someone's email account permanently, especially since I've been with hotmail for 15+ years.
Thanks for any help!
Since the s witch from Hotmail to Outlook I am no longer receiving my calendar notifications at my hotmail address. Nothing has changed on my end. I have checked my settings as advised in this forum and they are correct. Please help!!
All my emails are missing from Outlook.com
My Hotmail address no longer works, people cannot send emails to it, comes back undeliverable.
Account looks new, even email saying "Set up your new inbox" (converted over to outlook.com months ago)
I have a Hotmail address (which MS has now changed to Outlook account, although I still sign-in with Hotmail address). I used aliases. I receive junk mail in my junk mail folder. How can I know which, if any, of the junk mail is being sent to my alias
addresses? Other than opening a junk email and looking at the header info and seeing which address it was sent to?
I posted this issue a few days ago. I got some replies, but they did not directly answer my question/issue. Then a site moderator locked the discussion and stated s/he would email me directly the answer within 24 hours. That did not happen. So I am asking
again. I have read the help pages. So please do not merely repeat info from help pages. I have a Hotmail address (which MS has now converted to an Outlook account, although I still sign-in with my Hotmail address). Several months ago, I wanted to make a new
primary alias and delete my original primary alias (the log-in, sign-in, email address I made when I opened the account, back in the years before aliases were available). A few months ago, it was not possible to delete the primary alias (or at least not the
original email address that the account began with). Now the help pages seem to imply that we can change the primary alias and then even delete the former primary alias. If so, does that totally disassociate the deleted former primary alias (original email
address used to create the account) from the account, so that all emails sent to that former primary (once deleted) never reach the account? Someone replied and asked why I want to delete my former primary alias, after I change the primary. That really isn't
relevant to anyone else. I have my reasons. I want a direct answer from someone who knows about this issue, perhaps from someone who has been around for at least a year. When I first inquired a few months ago, an MS tech suggested I should just create a new
email account, because at that time it was not possible to delete the original email address/alias that I used to originally create the current account. Is it really possible to do this now? (If so, apparently the email account is based on name and personal
information and password, and not based mainly on the original email address that created the account.) Thanks in advance to anyone who can directly answer my questions.
