Being a Hotmail user for over 20 years I'm keen to get access to all of my old Hotmail emails, is there an archive facility I can access and if not, why not?

Hi

On one of my other Hotmail emails, on log in I get the 'call us overprotective' verification thing and give a drop down box with a different email in it for where to send the code to.

My question is how does outlook know that that other email is me? The email is completely different and on each of the 2 email accounts I have, the name on the account is different (1 with my name in English, one with my name in a different language).

How then did outlook automatically know that I had another account? The one that is prompting me for the code is a very old one (around 10 years old) so I could not have added the newer one so it would be used as a linked account as it is only a few years old.

At no point do I remember having signed up for the 2 accounts to be linked.

Please advise. thanks

Dear Sir

I have just found all my hotmail emails were lost.  After looking for solution in the forum and tried the ways mentioned in the threads, I still fail to get my emails back.  Could you help to retore them?  The emails are precious to me.  It accumulates my life memory since the date hotmail was born.

My emil address is *** Email address is removed for privacy ***

Please and please offer help.

Best regards

Horace

I work for an attorney. How do you contact Microsoft to request a person's hotmail emails back to a certain point?
I  was using GMAIL as my main email address and Hotmail as a secondary email. I wasn't actively using my Hotmail address in recent times but  I did have the hotmail account over a number of years which mean A LOT of emails that I wanted to keep. When the Hotmail account auto merged with outlook  I lost ALL of my emails going back YEARS. I tried the deleted recovery email that you suggested and it didn't work. I can't understand how hundreds of emails would simply disappear into cyberspace. I have no reason to believe my account was hacked. It just doesn't make sense that they could not be merged across? Please help me.

I am a Hotmail user.

All my emails seem to be gone.

Hotmail is not my main email account.

I use it irregularly, but I have used it for a long time.

This has not happened before.

The "Recover Deleted Messages" link at the bottom of the Deleted Folder does not work.

I am starting a new thread as advised below

Hi,

All my old emails are gone after I upgraded to outlook. But all my old contacts are still there.

Could you please help to recover the old emails? It seems that a lot of people are facing similar issues. I do not use an outlook client and message threading is turned off. There are no emails.

Thank you.

I am running Office 2003 and I have been using the Outlook Connector to retrieve my hotmail emails through my Outlook.  This stopped working and the error message indicated that:

Outlook Hotmail Connector Version 14.0.6123.5001
Account: *** Email address is removed for privacy ***
Sign in failed at 07/08/2013 1:17:09 PM

Is this related to the Outlook.com upgrade?  How can I fix this?  I have also created a new Outlook.com account but I have been unable to link or add my hotmail account.  I don't know what to do so if anyone can provide assistance it would be very appreciated.
