I'm not sure if I'm on the correct page or not.

New computer ; Windows 8 ; IE 10 ; "Email with Windows Live" .

Situation :

I can send a webpage link to my Hotmail mailbox.

It is not highlighted or underlined and therefore cannot be opened by me or any recipient I send it to.

I did check to make sure Windows Live Mail is not corrupted

If this isn't the correct page for this inquiry, please direct me.

Thanks.

About a month ago, our Hotmail mailbox encountered some type of glitch. In the process of deleting deleted messages, somehow all the messages in all the folders were deleted. The folder structure stayed in tact, but all the messages were deleted. I contacted Microsoft, searched, and have been unable to find anywhere to request a mailbox restore. Any advice, suggestions, or solutions would be greatly appreciated, as a lot of important information was deleted. Thank you.

I have a Hotmail mailbox and have made the conversion to switch to an Outlook.com mailbox. However, my Outlook mailbox does not contain any of my Hotmail emails. In addition, I am no longer able to log in to my Hotmail mailbox to access my emails including some that are critically important to my business. Each time I attempt to log in to Hotmail, I am redirected to the Outlook.com mailbox.

I have attempted on many occassions to manipulate the settings under my Outlook.com in attempts to import the emails from the Hotmail mailbox to no avail. I also attempted to adjust the settings so that my hotmail emails would be forwarded to the Outlook.com mailbox. I was prompted to verify my account and, despite numerous attempts, I received prompts directing me to provide my cell phone number so that a verification code would be texted to me. I do not have text messenging capabilities on my cell phone and there is no other option for receiving the verification code.

Please advise me as soon as possible as to how I do the following:

1)  Access my Hotmail mailbox

2)  Export my existing Hotmail emails into the Outlook.com mailbox

3)  Forward my incoming Hotmail emails into the Outlook.com mailbox.

If Hotmail is now Outlook.com, why wasn't the email migration process made more seamless and simple?? I am extremely frustrated as I desperately need to access the aforementioned Hotmail emails.
