When I send icons, they go as alphabets

I added contacts to Live Messenger yesterday. I want to have a live video conversation with one of them. Today, I can't find my friends list. I have no friends icon or button to click. So, I tried to re-add the contacts today, but it said they have
already been added. Where is my "Friends" list to click on?

I am so frustrated with the new list of Contacts and how it is set up. I used to be able to go in and add/change, etc. with no trouble, but now I am unable to create a new list (group) which I need for a mailing list. I deleted it by accident, as I clicked
on the little icon, thinking it would give me a warning, but in a second all my contacts in that group were gone. Now, I want to recreate it, and cannot figure out how to do it. Why was this system changed?? It was so simple before. I am considering cancelling
my account, as this is not acceptable. Phew! Can anyone help me?? I am not that computer literate, but certainly had no problems with it before. Very frustrating.

Whenever MSN Messenger is open I have its giant icon taking up space on the left hand side of my taskbar. How do I remove it from here and put it next to the clock, like in the old days? Skype gives the option but your Messenger doesn't!

My inbox and dock icon are showing that I have 1 unread email...even though I have no emails (items) in my inbox. My OSX is Mountain Lion. I have no idea how to solve this problem. Thanks

When I go to Tools to add an account, there is nothing which says Account - no it's not the "add an account" box I am looking for, it's the icon called "accounts" which you are supposed to click first after selecting Tools. Is there something different
I need to do with my Tool bar to see this?
Thanks
Thanks

I unintentionally clicked on the small gear icon next to my name on the contacts page. Now my non-group contacts do not appear unless a name is listed in the search bar. How do I correct this?

I have Mountain Lion, Office 2011 - and the issue is specifically with Outlook client. When I am in mail and highlight a calendar item, the system just spins for a significant amount of time. When I double click on a calendar item, the system spins for
a significant amount of time, when I click on the Calendar ICON - same thing.
I have rebuilt the DB, no improvement. I am connected to our corporate exchange environment - mail works fine - it's just everything to do with the calendar that is so slow.
Any ideas - my productivity is suffering.

Once in Outlook if I click on anything apart from messages I get a message saying I am not connected to Outlook.
It is USELESS! This happens everytime since I was moved to Outlook from Hotmail. There are no connection problems with the internet.
Don't tell me I can get back into hotmail by clicking on the gear icon because I can't. As stated, I can't do anything on this wretched site. It is a total waste of space.
Will we ever get a correct answer as to how to get back to Hotmail which worked perfectly well.

I have moved all e-mails to folders, but the outlook icon on the bar and the inbox in folders shows 2 messages unread. Everything else has been deleted.
I would appreciate any help
