I have several Mac systems around my house and would like to be able to have my Microsoft User Data/Office 2011 Identities stored on my NAS. So all systems show the same email, contacts, etc.
Any ideas on how to do this? I looked in the Preferences under Outlook but see nothing about setting up the data storage for the identities files.
Thanks in advance
Mike
Has anyone found the answer yet to why we keep losing identities. It's happened to me 7 times in the last 12 months. Any ideas why Microsoft aren't responding with a solution? Y.
I'm getting really frustrated with outlook for Mac. After a power out I tried ti restart Outlook and unfortunately the Identity was corrupt. I tried several older identities in the data base tool. The only one I could get going was one year old. O now
lost all emails I received over the year and also stored. The mails are still there but I can't open them since Outlook is telling me that I'm using the wrong identity!!!
Anyoune has any idea what to do? Can I for example import these olk_14 messages manually into the current one?
Appreciate any help on this topic. Don't understand the logic at all behind this database troubles in Outlook for Mac.
Names of recipients whom I send emails to appear in the Hotmail mother "Sent" box. However, when I create categories sub-folders and move emails from the mother "Sent" box into these sub-folders, my identity replace identities of those I send emails to.
I move the sent emails back to the mother Hotmail "Sent" box and the recipients id's get restored. Sub-folders which I move incoming emails to appear ok..
Still all the data is on my computer. However, when trying to select a default identity my data is not seen somehow in the list of identities.
I have had MS Office for Mac for a LONG time. I need to clear out some space on my hard drive and found big chunks of data in a folder called Microsoft User Data. There are several folders in there that I would like to delete if it will not affect my
current MS Office.
these folders are: Office 2008 Identities, Office 2004 Identities, Office X Identities. There are a few other folders but their size is inconsequential.
What can I delete to free up some space?
also, where can I comment on potential changes to Office for future updates?
thanks,
Toby Scott
I Deleted My Microsoft User Data Folder and Identities Folders in the Documents Folder. I Emptied the Trash too so they are gone and I do not have a backup. I Do Not Have a Backup but do not Need Anything as All Mail is on our Exchange Server. I just want
Outlook to load so i can re-create my profile. I even uninstalled and re-installed Office 2011 but it did not recreate the folder structure in "Documents". When Outlook Loads it prompts for Identities to be selected but I cannot select one. Additionally I
cannot rename or delete them. If I launch the Microsoft Repair Utility it does not show any Identities and freezes up. HELP!
I understand, that the files with extension olk14MsgAttach are files used by Microsoft outlook to handle attachments. I found them in Documents/Microsoft User Data/ Office 2011 Identities/Main Identity/...
Could something be wrong with those, since I have about 12Gb of those?
I would like to get rid of them to save space on a crowded disk.
I also have a series of Office 2008 files hanging in a similar place, although I have upgraded to Office 2011 long time ago - can all these files (the directory calle Office 2008 Identities) just be discarded?
thanks
My current folder size is over 40gb, theres one identity folder which occupies 9gb data which i think is the main since it says its last opened/modified one. while the rest which i think its not important uses 4-5gb (each extra identity folder contains
atleast 4-5 gb data and i have around 6). Is it ok to delete those and keep the main one?
My Outlook contents completely disappeared from one day to the next, as if I had not set up an account. Looking at the identities folder (thanks to one of your threads here) I have four identities, three of which were created within three days last month
- how that happened I don't know as I had never been in this folder before. One of these is Main Identity. The fourth one was created more than a year ago, though it is named Main Identity [backed up 27 June 2012]. How do I reinstate the right identity (and
contents) and get rid of the others safely?
