I have this problem on both an iMac and a MacBookPro. Both with same version of Outlook and running MacOS10.7.5

When I delete messages from the Inbox they go away but reappear a few seconds/minutes later. This only happens with an IMAP account managed by Network Solutions. I also have a standard Mac account (also IMAP) and this problem does not happen. Sometimes, if I open the message and then delete it, it does not reappear in the Inbox, but when I look at the trash, I will have multiple copies of the same trashed message. I have talked to Network Solutions multiple times, but they only "reset" the account and after a few minutes, the problem reappears. This issue does not happen when I open/check this IMAP account with an iPad/iPhone. I am trying to diagnose if the problem is an Outlook problem or if it is a Network Solutions problem. I was about to close the Network Solutions IMAP account and open it at another email provider, but I am not sure who is at fault.

Thank you very much for your help.

Although I did check everything I can, I did notice that using Outlook with Gmail don't download all the messages I wrote.

I'm not just talking about old messages (5 years ago) - which may seem reasonable - but messages sent no more than 20 days ago. And in fact looking at the Gmail web interface, all my messages are there.

I did try to play around with the settings, to see whether there is something to change. The only setting to make sense was the "Download the Header Only" tick in the Server tab, which I promptly disabled withoug joy.

Is anybody experiencing the same problem?

Thanks

Andrea

I have had multiple problems with WLM, it won't allow me to send emails from my email address, I have removed it and re-added it. I have also changed from a POP to an IMAP, which it is now saying the following,

Your IMAP command could not be sent to the server, due to non-network errors. This could, for example, indicate a lack of memory on your system.

Configuration:
   Account: Muooz.com (eat)
   Server: imap.asia.secureserver.net
User name: *** Email address is removed for privacy ***
   Protocol: IMAP
   Port: 143
   Secure(SSL): 0
   Code: 800ccc0e

My computer currently has a 4GB and 3.82 is usable.

I am not sure what I need to do to fix this problem.

Denise

I tried to add a new IMAP account, but the server wasn't recognized.  It's not that important that I use Outlook for this account, so I deleted it, but I continue to get the error messages "An unknown error has occurred in Outlook" and "Outlook cannot find the server.  Verify the server information is correct."  Help me to get these messages to go away, please!

Your IMAP command could not be sent to the server, due to non-network errors. This could, for example, indicate a lack of memory on your system.

Configuration:
   Account: Brian (CompleteRecon)
   Server: imap.secureserver.net
User name: *** Email address is removed for privacy ***
   Protocol: IMAP
   Port: 993
   Secure(SSL): 1
   Code: 800ccc0e

and  I also get code: 0x800ccc0f

I have use Microsoft security essentials, windows firewall and my Email is hosted by godaddy.  I followed there exact instructions on setting the email up for IMAP and I have disabled windows firewall and no matter what I do I still get this error.  I have read and followed many suggestions on these forms but still nothing.  Any help is GREATLY appreciated.

Hi,

I use Outlook for about a dozen email accounts. A few months ago, I switched 4 of the accounts to IMAP in Outlook and on my iPhone. This worked great.

About a week ago, I switched another POP account to use IMAP on my Mac and iPhone. In Outlook, I created a new IMAP account then deleted the associated POP account. I did the same on my iPhone. I set the IMAP account exactly as my other IMAP accounts (same server, ports, etc., different email address and password). It worked fine including the Sent folder. I have the Sent folder configured to use the Sent folder on the server for Outlook and my iPhone.

Today I discovered that email sent from Outlook for the this IMAP account doesn't store sent messages in the Sent folder. Sent mail for this account sent from my iPhone or WebMail is stored correctly in the Sent folder, and that sent email is downloaded to the Sent folder in Outlook. Sent mail for this account when using Outlook is never stored in it's Sent folder. I have "Grouped similar folders...' set in Preferences-General. I tried unchecked it and rechecked it, and nothing changed.

Does anyone know how I can get my Sent folder working for my IMAP account? Should I try deleting the IMAP account in Outlook, then recreate it? I'm  using Outlook 14.3.9.

Thanks,
Chuck
I had been using Windows Live Mail 2011 for a while now with several IMAP accounts, and I had no difficulties on my computer. I updated to WE 2012 this morning, and now I get the error 800ccc0e when trying to connect. Before you try to say its' a provider issue, please note - it was working fine with 2011, and now it doesn't with 2012. Nothing else changed. I didn't change server settings, I didn't add or remove anything to the email settings.

I even tried setting up a new account with identical settings, and it failed.

There is an issue with the upgrade, as I have another computer that I previously installed WE2012 on and it works fine. It is only on this upgrade computer. Before trying an uninstall-reinstall, I want to know if there is something else that needs to be configured.

I have also started getting errors on my Live account, 80048820. Again, the only change was an update to WE2012 from WE2011. So it's not just my IMAP provider.
