I have established rules; some work, some don't.  Most are being applied to more than one email sender, although your
Tech Support people say there can only be one email address associated with a given rule.  That's nuts because why bother to have Rules.  It's also not true since some of mine are operating with multiple senders associated with the same rule.

I understand that Rules are supposed to get applied automatically PRIOR to receiving the message in the Inbox.  I understand that I may apply a given Rule to received messages after the fact.  My experience is that it is completely serendipitous.

CAN YOU HELP ME, puleeeeeeeeeeeeze??????

What can I do to stop Vindows Live incorrectly block my incoming mail from my friend as "phishing" and making it unavailable? I saw that mail on my I-pad and it was not at all dangerous.

Previously a size limit was put in place on all my incoming mail.   I now wish to remove this, permanently.   I do realize I will probably be flooded with large previously blocked emails, but still need to do this.    I have tried:

  • Folders
  • Message Rules

but nothing seems to fit my requirements.

Thanks

Hi,

Please can you advise me....Windows live keeps filtering our mail before I get to read some of them. As most of our e-mails are business related, this is some concern, I can log into my bt 365 e-mails and they are showing there? I have gone into view and show all e-mails but I still hear a incoming mail, then it goes before I can read it....not every mail though?

regards

Laura Bryce

On windows live mail I receive all incoming mail.  Explorer works fine.  When I try to send mail I get a default window.  It says that connection to the server has failed.  Error #0x800CCC0E.   How do I fix this?

Windows mail would not send or receive mail because he could not find wldcore.dll.  I have since copied and pasted this file along with wldlog.dll.  Windows mail will now download incoming mail only.  It does not allow you to open the new mail or any other type of mail.  The only warning you receive that it a problem has occurred.  When you open e-mail message and start typing it appears to be working as expected.  When you come to send the message it tells you that one of the characters in the address is incorrect.  Numerous reinstallations but always the same response.  A while trying to access this information.

At the same time as I started to have this problem the PCT's ability to create a zip compressed folder four emailing was compromised.  These are created with a padlock symbol won the bottom of the compresse folder.  This makes it impossible for the recipients two unzip or extract files from the folder.  This may be sheer coincidence that I am still trying to remove the lock or encryption.

Thank you

After many months of smooth operation, I got repeated error messages on incoming mail (Socket  error10061; error no. Ox88CCCOE). following suggestions on this site I deleted my account on Windows Mail (Vista) and restablished it with the same settings that had worked before.  Rebooted. Now I can neither send nor receive.  I am using ATT in and out, port 110 inbound, 465 outbound.  Also tried 25 inbound.  nothing works.   This seems to be a common problem judging from the thread.  what is the solution?

BTW: website mail and I phone mail are working fine:  this only impacts Windows mail.
