alert sounds not functioning

My alert sounds (incoming mail, outgoing mail, etc.) do not appear to work. I've gone to preferences and all seems normal there. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

why does my incoming mail go into my sent folder and not inbox

Windows Live Mail auto deletes my incoming mail

Hi, Messages will come into my inbox when I click the send/receive button but as soon as the message hits the inbox it deletes. Can't find it anywhere. It is still on my servers mail page so I know that I received a message. Anyone seen this? Thanks

Live mail msgs being showing as ‘sent’ are not received

This is a Live Mail question. I have an intermittent problem with mail that I send not being received. The mail msg leaves the outbox but is delayed in being received. I have been blind copying myself to see when this happens, but it doesn't seem to have any pattern to it. My incoming mail always seems to get to me, regardless of the recipients. Only the outgoing mail is having problems. My email provider that I use/link to in Live Mail is Earthlink. Any suggestions as to what I can do? I have had Live Mail since Nov 2011. This started happening about 2 months ago. Prior to that I hadn't had any problems.

Time of incoming message

The time on the incoming mail is 5 hours ahead of my correct computer clock, how do I adjust?

My e-mail is showing (2) after my incoming mail and I seem to be receiving copies of my sent e-mails in my inbox.

For a few days now my e-mails are being received in more than one copy and when I send an e-mail, I receive a copy of the e-mil from myself in my inbox.

I can not figure out how to add folders to Hotmail, windows 8. Can anyone tell me how to increase the font size of incoming mail on Hot mail?

I can increase font size on everything in windows 8 but I do not need that. Thanks so much for your help. Big Al

Windows Live Mail 2011

I sometimes get a notification of incoming mail via Windows Live Mail, which I generally use for e-mail,, but when I click the icon on the system tray, there is no new mail. I found the missing e-mail on another e-mail webmail system supported by my ISP, virginmedia.com. Any suggestions how to rectify this anomoly?

BACKUP POP e mails

Hi,

I may also be showing my ignorance here and also apologise.

I have read the answers on this page but am still slightly unsure of the answer to my own question.

I have a POP account and it is the only one on "My Computer"

I have Outlook for Mac version 14.2.5 OS 10.8.2

I simply nedd to have some simple rules to copy my incoming and outgoing mails to a folder on My Computer.

I note however that I can do this on Rules for outgoing mail but not (as far as I can see) on incoming mail.

Is this the case.

Plus if I want to archive a number of other mail in folders on "My Computer" using my Time machine and Time capsule can I do this easily with the Outlook archive X software.

Will this easily guide me through the process of backup to Time Capsule via Time Machine or are the other 3rd party providers shown more novice friendly ?

Multiple incoming e-mails

After re-installing IE8, reinstalling Windows Live Mail and most recently allowing security program to check incoming mail, I now have each incoming e-mail arriving multiple times. Never had this problem before. I see others have but I fail to see an answer. I am on Windows Vista.
