Outlook 2011 Preferences Window Bug

Hi,

So I can't seem to find other info on this. Have tried rebuilding / reinstalling.

My preferences window is buggy. The initial window with the icons is fine, but when I click on any option it won't update properly. For example if I click on accounts the window stays the same shape and doesn't allow me to expand it so I can't access my account settings (!), as below (you should be able to see my 4 email accounts listed on the left):

Help! I need to add another work account urgently, not sure what to do.

Cannot rebuilt identity after trying to upgrade Office Database (14.2.1)

Error after installing Service Pack 2 (14.2.1).

Initial window message "Please upgrade the Office Database".

Then click on "upgrade" and gives me a message "Need to rebuild your identity" and goes to 1-5 steps finalizing with "your identity cannot be rebuilt".

 

 Then ALWAYS FAILS and the outlook seems corrupt as the initial message "Please upgrade the Office Database" keeps coming back. I have done this many times and tried freeing up space in the hard drive, creating a new identity but appears blank.

 

Please help. Thank you.
