I use Xtra.Co.NZ as my internet provider and they use Yahoo mail for their mail service.

Since they upgraded their systems and now use SSL protocol, I am receiving the following error message:

[SYS/TEMP] problem retrieving message

Account name:  "is my user account name"

Error code: -16999

I am on an iMAC 2010 Intel Core i5 running OS 10.9.2 (Mavericks).  My email client is Outlook for Mac 2011 which is current.

The service provided can't tell me what the problem is or fix it, nor can they reproduce it in their lab.

Apple tech support tells me to call Microsoft.

I either can't get through to them or get disconnected.

Can anyone help me resolve this?

I can't send email (can receive) with live mail (just started last week off and on at first). I have checked with my internet provider and the settings are all correct - I can send an email through their web email site (not blacklisted). I have ran Norton and malware scans. I uninstalled and reinstalled live mail and still won't work. I have ran it through the Windows troubleshooter. Running out of options...

Since Jan. 31, 2014 cannot access windows live mail2011 with windows 7. I get the following message Server Error:4402 Server: 'https//mail.services.live.com/DeltaSync_v2.0.0/Syhnc.aspx' Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x8DE0002 error message.  Contacted Bell Sympatico my internet provider, they tried to fix it but said that I would loose all my folders as they would have to re-create the account.  I'm using 2 user's name for the account.  Tried to fix myself but I royally mess it up.  When it first started, I kept getting messages from Microsoft account team (*** Email address is removed for privacy ***) & they provided me with a security code several times but was not successful at re-establishing my account.  Right I can use outlook.com but do not like it at all.


Please can you help me.

My wife and I are using Outlook for Mac 2011 for personal email and our internet provider accounts are POP ones via Yahoo.  I would like to set up an Exchange Server to house both accounts but the expense of doing so is prohibitive.  Can we use Exchange Online as an alternative or is that for businesses only?

We are using Office 365 and have Outlook.com accounts.  If Exchange Online cannot be used, is there a way to configure Outlook for Mac 2011 to use Outlook.com as a server-type facility?

I am having a problem with sending group emails.  They go to my send box, but never get to  the people in the group.  I have several groups I email once a week and we upgraded computer and to 365 home and office.  I have been on the phone with my internet provider and they say it is my outlook's fault not theirs, although the first time this happened they said same thing and when I got off with them to contact you I tried to send them out and they went.  I have each group coming to me as well.  I am so frustrated and hope you can help me.

 

Outlook 2010, sent e-mails go to the outbox and stay their, contacted internet provider all passwords and account setting are correct, re-installed the

program same thing (I can receive but not send) any suggestions 

 

Unable to login to Outlook (home & bus 2010) on my laptop.   have been able to send/receive email via my phone and through my internet provider's webmail.   prior to today - have been using outlook for this account for years.   mid afternoon today - I received over 100 old (previously received) emails on my phone.   it was about this same time that I was unable to login to Outlook.
