I operate Windows 8.1 and I recently downloaded Windows Live Mail. Every time I open it there is an 'Internet Security Warning' telling me that 'The certificate's CN name does not match the passed value'. After clicking 'OK' the programme works fine. How do I get rid of the warning message every time I open my mail?

I use Outlook 2007 via POP3 for hotmail. Since the last 15 days, on starting outlook 2007, I get an Internet Security Warning “The server you are connected to is using a security certificate that cannot be verified. The target principal name is incorrect. Do you want to continue using this server ? Y/N” On Microsoft Support http://support.microsoft.com/kb/958977/en-us, mentions that root of the problem is that the target server is Small Business Server 2008. Has Hotmail recently moved some email accounts to Small Business Server 2008 ? And is the problem that I’m facing due to Hotmail’s recent change or this is some malicious ratware / hacker virus posing as Hotmail domain name ? I use Quick Heal Total Security antivirus and they have confirmed that there is no virus. Also my computer clock setting is correct. I removed and re-added my email account in Outlook 2007 however I continue face the problem detailed above. Will be grateful for your help with my questions and problem.

In the last week, when I launch Windows Live Mail 2011, I am getting the warning: The server you are connected to is using a security  certificate that could not be verified. The certificates CN name does not match the passed value.

Do you want to continue using this server?

I click on yes to continue.

I have never had this happen and was wondering if it was anything I should worry about. Any thoughts?

Thanks all
