I have use the same password for my e-mail account for sometime.  Now all of a sudden I can't access my hotmail account on my i-pad or i-phone but can still access it on my computer with the same password.  when I go to the i-pad of i-phone the message says the Exchange cannot verify the password.

Hi,

We are thinking of getting an iMac (presumably with OS X Mountain Lion) and Office 2011 with Outlook 2011. There are many postings about synchronising Outlook Calendar with iCal on the iMac and also with iPhone/iPad. Also synching with Google Calendar. I currently run XP with Office 2007 (Outlook 2007). I can sync with Gcal and my ipad with Gcal so calendars are up to date.

This might be a naive question... is it possible to syncrinise the Outlook 2011 Calendar with iCal and (perhaps indiretly via iCal) to my Google Calendar?

I have seen postings like the ones below and am confused. If the Outlook Calendar Synching won't work then the iMac option needs a rethink. (Please, I'd just like the synching question addressed rather than and iMac versus another hardware platform as the answer to the question may deliver other considerations)

Kind regards

Mike

We have moved to using iPhones and iPad for our remote employees.   They currently use Windows PCs for their laptops.  We have several requests to give them Macbooks or iMacs that will synch like the iPhone's and ipads.

Does Office:mac on an iMac sync to exchange with active sync?  What would be the recommendation?
I have recently purchased a Macbook Air with MS Office.  I mostly use Outlook on a desktop PC with Outlook with exchange server 2011.  I also access my emails with iPad and iPhone.

For some reason, on my Macbook Air, some reoccurring appointments appear twice or the appointment has been stretched over a couple of days?  This only seems to be on some and not others?

Has anyone seen this before?
Hello all,

Just wondering, how to, or is there a way, to set up an Office 365 (Exchange) Calendar (account) in Mountain Lion's Calendar app? (formerly iCal)

The reason being, I don't always launch Outlook 2011 every time I am on my home iMac, but I would still like to view my office calendar somewhere, like on the Calendar app in Mountain Lion, from time to time.

I have successfully set up my Office 365 Exchange account (same account) on both iPad and iPhone.  But doesn't seem to be working on the Mac.

Thanks and cheers
I'm facing two main problems on my Outlook 2011:

1) It doesn't allow me to create a meeting or an appointment. The button, on the top left side, appears disabled and also the option of creating a meeting on the menu bar. I can create a meeting on OWA, iCal and iPhone/iPad and it syncs well, but I still can't schedule from Outlook.

2) My Outlook is crashing very often and for many different reasons. Sometimes when I acces a folder, when I right-click in a specific message or folder, when I try to create a contact. I rebuilt the identities, following some instructions I found here at the forum and also following Microsoft's official response (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2360509), but the problems (1 and 2) continued the same.

I have MacBook Pro 13", with OS X Lion with all the latest updates. My Office is also updated, with the version 14.2.0 and the latest installed update 14.2.3.

I use Exchange and this is only the one account configured in Outlook.

So, does anyone know or have a tip how to solve this problem?

Thanks in advance.

Since I upgraded to Mountain Lion the sync between Outlook and iCal (and contacts) is dead. Lots of applications are dependent upon this sync.  Most of all, the sync with iPhone and iPad.

I am a business user.  Outlook is the best Email/Contact/Calendar program out there.  I need to use Outlook and MS Office.  I am not going to stop using them but I would like to see what/if Microsoft is going to do to support this.  This is a huge hole!  There is a post that MS Office is ready for Mountain Lion, that is just plainly not true.

Has anyone else been able to get around this problem?  Any ideas?  Third Party apps to sync?

Thanks.
Syncing outlook  from mac os to iPhone or iPad hangs up in calendar - will sync other services - notes contacts etc.

System would sync previously - possibly changed with upgrade to mountain lion os.
