I use Outlook 2011 on my MacbookAir. I can confirm no changes have taken place on the MBA or the iPhone. Possible that IT have made some changes on the Exchange server but unlikely.
Until 2 days ago everything was fine. Now though, any reads, deletes etc on messages in my Inbox are not reflected on the server and therefore are not reflected on my iPhone (nor my Windows laptop which I have booted up speficially to help me trouble-shoot).
Changes made on either the PC or the iPhone do propogate to the MBA.
My inbox on the MBA is less than about 20 msgs or so. The inbox is apparently up-to-date. I have deleted a load of messages from both the deleted items and sent items folders which seems to be updating but taking some time.
Any ideas what the problem is?
For some reason yesterday i discovered all my bookings in my calendar in my iphone disappeared after syncing with my laptop. I recently got an iphone 4 and am using Outlook 2011, and it has been syncing without issue for at least 2 weeks. My calendar
in Outlook still exists but the calendar in ical is the same as my iphone, i.e. nothing.... The sync services seems to be set up. The only thing i did differently yesterday is my Outlook was running slow so i closed everything and restarted my computer, normally
i don't close Outlook or shutdown my laptop. So i expect it had something to do with that. I see most of the question posted here are for new devices. Any suggestions??

I've successfully set up my work email (exchange) on my iPhone & iPad and everything works and syncs.
I also want to set it up on Outlook for Mac (2011) but the exact same settings will not work on Outlook.
By the way, I've tried this with both the VPN on and off (not using VPN on iPad & iPhone).
Am I missing something?
I'm having difficulty connecting Outlook (Office for Mac 2011) with my Outlook.com and iPhone e-mails. Each can receive and display new mail, but if I delete or read an e-mail on one platform, it doesn't update the others. (And at least Outlook.com and
my iPhone used to be synced...before I started messing with settings to get all three to connect.) Essentially I now have to open or delete each message three times and am on the verge of giving up on Outlook altogether.
My hotmail on the iphone always ask me to sihn to hotmail in order to use my account in the iphone.
After several emails, i will send again the same notification and i have to log in again my computer.
This is not convineint at all.

I have an iPhone 5. I have my hotmail account linked so I can retrieve my email and it works fine. The only problem I have that I need to get fixed is that I can only view and retrieve emails from the last 3 days. It seems to delete the emails once they are 3 or so days old. I have hundreds of emails in my inbox, but on my iPhone I need help to view and retrieve old emails. I have checked every setting in the phone and still have not figured it out.
Also, I deleted the Hotmail acct from my phone and set it back up with no luck. I also did a full backup to iCloud, did a hard reset of the phone, and did a restore from iCloud. Still no luck
Please help.

I am using an Iphone 5, and a Mac Book Air on OS X 10.8.2. I use Outlook for Mac as my default contact book, and when ever my notebook is opened, I manage all my contacts, write notes on these contacts in Outllook.
When I connect my Iphone to Itunes for synchro, I get all my contacts and notes updated on the Iphone without troubles.
However, when I edit and change a mail address or add a note on a contact from the Iphone, and then perform a sync, there comes the troubles.
When I look at the result on Outlook, I see that all the formating on the notes have gone.
The problem is really happening in between the CONTACTS application on the Mac book and the Outlook application for mac.
Outlook is able to successfully pass its notes formating to Contacts but does not recognize the format on the way back from the Contacts application.
There must be a solution to this problem as all these application are made for Mac OS, or if not, it must be on a priority list of updates to come.
Very frustrating and time consuming to have to reformat all these notes.
Would welcome any solution to fix this problem.
Please let me know.
