I am not receiving emails sent from *** Email address is removed for privacy *** OR *** Email address is removed for privacy ***.  When I contacted the vendor about this they said my email account is being labeled as "non-existent" by your ISP (Internet Service Provider).  Can you tell me how I might go about getting this fixed?  Thanks.

Greetings,

We have changed ISP's and emails as well. When I open WLM, I get a request to enter my password to my old email account. I would like to keep my emails from my old account for a while to insure I don't lose something of value. If I remove my previous email account do my emails stay on my computer ans can I access them?

Thanks for your help

I wish to block unsolicited messages from messenger, people who are not on my contact list or ever been on my contact list. I understand that people not on contact list are supposedly unable to send messages since I am using 2011 Live version, but this has clearly failed miserably as everyone I know gets unsolicited messages from various people using various other IM systems. Reporting abuse has no effect. These people need to have their ISP address blocked, not just their account, otherwise they simply create another account name. It is your responsibility to keep spammers and abusers out of your messenger system and you seem little inclined to do so, indeed, several people have asked this question on different forums including your own, and yet no adequate response has been given by your company. This is appalling lack of service.

In the last few weeks Live Mail is not downloading all incoming mails from my ISP's webmail to the inbox. Each time I open it up it is downloading some, others disappear completely, only to appear in the Mail inbox around 2 weeks later. If there are 4 mails in my webmail, 3 new ones get downloaded along with one old one, but all four disappear from my webmail so the problem appears to be Mail not my ISP webmail. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Live essentials several times but the problem keeps occurring. For info I am using vista home premium 32 bit version. I am now currently using an old  live essentials 2009 version which so far seems ok. but of course Windows update keeps trying to update to the latest version.
I'm having this same problem of not being able to receive email via Outlook.  I've spent considerable time with my ISP and it appears the configurations are correct.  I've reviewed the threads and have followed these steps but I'm still getting the 5.7.1 authentication error.  My ISP indicates that the 2011 version is not supported by them so I'm stuck.  How can I resolve this problem.

The incoming server works fine but the outgoing server does not.  I've followed my ISP's instructions including overriding the default port and manually including the specified number.  I've triple checked my entries more than I care to admit.

Would appeciate any guidance.

Thanks much.  John
Hello;

1) Suddenly I haven’t been able since this morning to send any emails (Windows Live Mail / Win 7 Pro SP1 64-bit).
I continue however to receive emails, but not sending!
The error message (Item 5 below) provides a Server Error # and WLM Error ID.

2) I Contacted the ISP.
They checked the a/c, protocol, Incoming/Outgoing addresses, etc., and couldn’t figure out the problem.
The ISP advised: “Contact MS. They should be able to fix the problem.”

3) Contacted MS Customer Service.
They don’t provide technical support for Windows Live Mail because according to MS: “It’s a free MS product”.
MS advised however: “For $ 100.+tax, we can access your computer and provide detail diagnoses of the problem.”
I thanked MS for their offer!!

4) I repaired Windows Essentials, ran a full system scan, etc., and tried again to send a one-word email to myself (Subject: Testing).
No improvement. Same error message (Item 5 below)!

5) I uninstalled WLM, and re-installed the full Windows Essentials 2012 (incl. WLM 2012).
Tried to send email to myself.
Got the same Error:

An unknown error has occurred.
Subject 'Testing'
Server Error: 554
Server Response: 554 Transaction failed : Cannot send message due to possible abuse; please visit http://postmaster.yahoo.com/abuse_smtp.html for more information
Server: 'smtp.broadband.rogers.com'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC6F
Protocol: SMTP
Port: 587
Secure(SSL): No

Your help and advice would be greatly acknowledged and appreciated.

Hi all,
I'm looking for any assistance with this problem i'm having. Recently i purchased a Mac and am using Outlook and it has been working perfectly until yesterday when i received the following error message:

nskntcmgw08p BigPond Outbound [OB105. Connection refused. 121.212.3.200 is listed on the Exploits Block List (XBL). Please visit http://www.spamhaus.org/xbl/ for more information.

As I have always used Windows and have always had an Internet Security software program on my computer I am at a loss as to what this issue is and I don't know anything about this 'spamhaus' website.

Can anyone please assist?  Any feedback would be very much appreciated :)

Cheers,
Anita

Just bought a new computer after a storm compromised my old computer.  I had Outlook Express before, and had my e-mail transferred to the new Live Mail account.  I have followed the instructions I got from my ISP several times, and I believe I have all settings right, but I keep getting pop ups that say the Pop3 server is not responding, or error messages--usually 550, that SMTP is not working for outgoing mail.

I tried to do a live mail chat with an ISP rep., and he referred me to the written instruction link that I'd already been using.  It's been a week now, everything else is working, and I'm getting my e-mail by going on the internet, but Live Mail would be easier, and offers more options.
