If you look at the link above it says there that
- Outlook does not apply the junk mail filter to messages from a Microsoft Exchange account. For these accounts, junk mail filtering occurs on the Exchange server.
OK great!!!!!!!!!
I am in my junk mail folder in Outlook 2011 for Mac on my macbookpro and all the email from my new important customer keeps going into the junk email folder on my exchange account even if I set the domain as a safe domain in Outlook 2011 for Mac.
So how do I update the rules on the exchange account so that they can run on the exchange account, in the past on Outlook in the windows environment when I set a safe domain in the junk mail settings, those settings were saved in my exchange account.
I am fine with the rule running on the exchange server instead of locally, my question is how do I control the rules and set them up?
Is there a way to completely reset Junk Mail filtering and the Blocked Senders list in Office for Mac 2011?
Thanks!
I have Windows 8 and use Windows Live 2012 and have it set up with IMAP. After setting up the account, I was presented with four Sent Folders, three Deleted Folders and three Junk folders.
Deleted Folders are named Deleted, Deleted Messages and Deleted Items. Sent Folders are named Sent, Sent Items, Sent Messages and SentMail (no space between words). Junk Folders are named Junk, Junk E-mail and Junk Mail.
Deleted, Sent and Junk mail are not duplicated and sent to all folders. They are sent to one of the other.
When I want to find a sent or deleted email, it is a nightmare. The Sent Items/messages/sentmail folders tells date/subject/from (me, of course) but not the receipient which makes it nearly impossible to search for a sent email.
I have an iphone and the same folders are also on my phone. Another thing I find strange is that I have a folder in my Windows Live that is named Notes. I did not set up this folder, it just appeared when I created the IMAP account. The Notes in this folder are the exact same as the notes I created in my iPhone (which has nothing to do with email) as reminders to myself. I don't have a problem with them being in my Windows Live but wonder why and how this folder was put there. It all is just so strange.
Thank you for any help you may be able to give to me. (I put this post under Sending and Receiving Email because there was no other selection that described my question.)
Windows Live Mail marks Junk Mail messages flagged as NOT Junk Mail as READ when they have NOT and have only been marked as Not Junk
this makes it difficult to see what has NOT been read when you go into your folder
Microsoft need to review their junk mail options, including marking messages/emails as containing viruses - rather than just 'junk mail' or block sender, etc
but the main issue is it marking it as read when you are ONLY marking it as not junk
Hi
Can somebody help me? My Hotmail account is sending junk mail to my contacts. I have changed my password and my security question but that's not seemed to have worked. Can somebody fix the problem at the Hotmail end?
