I keep getting junk mail delivered to my inbox even though my filter is set to exclusive. This started two days ago. The junk mail has hotmail or msn.com in their addresses, but not always. I haven't changed my settings but it started recently. I believe it must by an error in the system and it is really annoying. Please respond quickly.
I use Outlook.com for Android on my smartphone. Junk mail is now appearing in my Inbox even though on my PC, both in the Office client as well as the Outlook.com Internet program, the same Junk continues to go to Junk.

How do I fix?

As of today, I am suddenly receiving floods of junk mail delivered to my inbox.  Last week I was unable to log on for two days while problems with site were resolved. This week, I'm getting advertisements delivered to my inbox.  Is this a result of the merge with Outlook? My hotmail account used to be so reliable.
I have now started to receive junk mail straight into my inbox, I pay for my account and my junk mail options are set to exclusive.

On the emails that come through hotmail tells me that the sender is in my contacts list. I can't see any evidence of this.

Blocking the mails do not seem to work.

Can you please advise how to solve this issue

I know there are other threads about this....some even going back to 2012, pre-Outlook.... clearly nothing has been done by Microsoft, 

 

Indeed I am not seeing any responses from them either.

 

I think they just leave us here to let off steam together.

 

Outlook has been dreadful in terms of much weaker anti-spam precautions - lots of threads on here about blatant filth and phishing getting into our Junk folders.

 

But in the past two days, it just got worse.  Apparently Outlook is now incapable of even applying its own filters to put non-contacts and non-safe addresses directly in Junk - they are getting into my Inbox.    This is completely unacceptable.  I thought the big tech companies hired genius hackers to stay one step ahead of this rubbish?   Have all the Microsoft gurus left and gone to Google and Apple?

 

Microsoft, please wake up.  Read the thousands of complaints on here about your substandard Outlook freemail product (hopefully having nothing more in common than name with the industry-standard business product) and FIX IT!

I have used Hotmail for years and been happy and now I am getting Junk mail in my inbox despite the most secure settings to prevent it. I cannot go on like this and will have to switch if this is not corrected! Please help!
i have had my hotmail account for 15 years and it has always been set on exclusive.

in the last 12 hours, i have received over 10 junk emails directly to my inbox.

why is the filter no longer working?

if this function on outlook is no longer working, i will close this account and open a new one on gmail.
I have a hotmail account for several years, up until yesterday the junk email always would be in the junk folder, now it is coming into my inbox. I have even deleted my whole safe sender list and I still received a junk email into my inbox. What is going on?
I receive a lot of junk mail and the more i seem to unsubscribe from these senders, the more i get. I also find that almost on a daily basis, my Hotmail account automatically send junk mail to people on my mailing list, including me. is there a way i could get this to stop?
