got a new lap top n downloaded windows live essentials only to find out that it was all in Spanish so how do I change it to English?

HI IM TRYING TO INSTALL WINDOWS LIVE MESSENGER ON MY FIANCES LAP TOP BUT ALL I GET IS GOING THROUGH HOTMAIL TO CHAT.I DONT LIKE THIS...HOW DO I FIX OR CHANGE THIS ?PLZ HELP

I cannot open or send any hotmail e-mails on my desk top computer but can on my lap top. Any suggstions?
