I just logged on and got a message with something to do with re applying a new password ect on my account by sending a code to my phone……Is this a legitimate request by yourselves…?

I just logged on and got a message with something to do with re applying a new password ect on my account by sending a code to my phone......Is this a legitimate request by yourselves...?

Got a msg fm Windows Live Team (*** Email address is removed for privacy ***) asking for my ful name/usere name/password/DOB/and country. I’m leery of this request….is it legitimate?

I'm told by Windows Live Team (*** Email address is removed for privacy ***) that I need to update my account by providing full name/user name/password/DOB/and country.  I'm always afraid of this sort of request for such sensitive info.  Pls advise if this is a legitimate request in order not to lose my Hotmail account permanently.
