I recieved an email from Hotmail saying my Hotmail account was suspended due to SPAM and i have to follow a link to reset it but when i click the link it doesnt send me anywhere?!?!?!?!

i really need my hotmail account for important things and i recieved an email today saying:

Hotmail account suspended -__________________________ ( Your e-mail account has excedeed it's sending and receiving limit in the last 7 days. )

In order to keep our customers safe, we had to suspend your e-mail account. This happened because your e-mail was tagged as a SPAM account.

That's why you're prompted to verify your account to re-activate your Hotmail e-mail service by following the link below:

Spammers sometimes use automated programs to create Hotmail or other email accounts and then send unsolicited bulk messages to others.

When you click the verification link, you're asked to login again on our secured website.

By completing our verification form, you prove that you're a human, and not a spam program.

Hotmail will occasionally prompt you to verify your account again, just to make sure you're still you and your account hasn't been compromised for spam purposes.

I am have received this message and not sure if it is malicious, if i click on the link Norton states the site is unsafe, please advise if other accounts are also getting this message and how can i stop or cure it.

I have had a message on my account which states, we are sending this e-mail to inform you that your e-mail account has exceeded its sending and receiving limit in the last 7 days.

But I do not use my account very much, so how do I know if I have not been hacked and they want me to log in to the attached link, as I do not feel safe doing so because I feel I do not use it to often as I’m in work all day...is there a limit?

I had an e-mail a couple of weeks ago to say my bank account has been blocked because of excessive use, and to link on to attached link to unblock it. Which I did not... I went to my bank & they said it was fake message, do not log onto link... So is this message true, or another fake?

I have been sent an email claiming to be from Hotmail telling me that my account will be blocked because I have sent too many emails which is nonsense unless someone has hacked into my account. How do I find out if this email is a scam?

Phishing Scams?

I've received two identical emails today, both saying my Hotmail account had been suspended because I'd reached my limit on sending and receiving emails.
I was to follow a link and only then would my account be unlocked. I marked them both as phishing scams and got rid of them.
Has anyone else had them?

I have an email that looks like it is from Windows Live Account Security Team, however, it redirects me to another page and asks me to sign in to verify my usage limit? This seems suspicious to me, but how do I confirm whether this is a fake, or whether it is indeed genuine? Thanks!

I keep getting e-mails stating that my account has excedeed it's sending and receiving limit in the last 7 days and that Hotmail has suspended my account in order to prevent unwanted bots and spyware using my account. It requests to verify my account and lift the suspension limit by clicking on a link which simply open my email in a separate window. The title of the emails I get keeps changing but goes along the line of “Hotmail e-mail blocked! SPL-Code: 87-x-09) 2-September 2012 [IP Address],ryan,ryan‏”. Is this REAL?

I've just received the following email to my Inbox (rather than Junk), and wondered whether it was legitimate?

After verification , you may use your e-mail account as usual. Microsoft Account Security Team. But... my email is working perfectly. I can send and receive emails with no problems. I can sign in and out. I'm also concerned that I cannot find reference to account suspension in the help section. I do not want to follow a link and put my details into it unless I know for certain that it is the genuine article. The email also generated a "Attachments, pictures and links in this message have been blocked for your safety" warning, and if this is from the hotmail team, why would it do that? Thank you. I hope I have put this in the right topic.
